Vetericyn Eye Care Liquid Dropper, 120 ml
Vetericyn Eye Care Liquid Dropper, 120 ml
Price: £9.32

3.0 out of 5 stars Still had to go to the vet, 1 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Visits to the vet are expensive.

So when our dog (Woody) showed a little redness around one eye and a small amount of gunge in the mornings, we thought we might try cleaning it 3 or 4 times a day. Found Vetericyn on Amazon and were encouraged that it was OK'd by the US drug authorities.

We used Vetericyn on Woody's eye for 2 weeks, but there no improvement in the condition - but it didn't get any worse.

So off to the vet after all, and Woody had conjunctivitis. The vet said he was surprised that Woody wasn't bothered/irritated by the condition - so perhaps Vetericyn had a soothing effect.

One course of anti-biotic eyedrops later (using the rest of the Vetericyn to swab the area around the eye first thing in the morning) and the eye problem has cleared up.

So, possibly of use in some cases (maybe to rinse out foreign bodies), but I wouldn't buy again for anything that looks like an infection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product at decent price, 14 April 2016

Reassuringly 'padded', especially at the corners - and offering very good grip.

All the cut-outs are perfectly aligned (charging point, camera lens, earphone socket, speaker etc), as are the controls, which are in the form of raised, 'tactile' buttons.

Being fairly thick protective material, it was initially slightly tricky to get on - you will have to pull/stretch it over your iPad with a little effort. Warming the cover *gently* first will help.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good and bad (but mainly bad...), 29 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
GOOD POINTS
They're all in one place - no more looking in the back of odd drawers
A comprehensive set of bits and sizes
Magnetic tips.

BAD POINTS
The screwdriver tips are 'soft' - I've chewed up two on not exactly taxing jobs
The swappable-head screwdriver handle/holder fell apart completely on first use
The case is flimsy and doesn't close securely

3.0 out of 5 stars Effective - but stinks!, 14 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very effective cleaner and gets our glasses clear and sparkly.

My bugbear is that it is very highly scented and I have to rinse the glasses and wash my hands after use, or end up smelling like a tart's boudoir for the rest of the day... ugh.

Note of caution from the can: "Formulated for cleaning high grade glass and plastic opthalmic lenses. Not suitable for use on polycarbonate lenses and frames."

This review is from: Hound Comfort Bed- Large (Misc.)
Nice quality, decent value and looks as if it will last reasonably well. This large size is about right for our Springer, so not 'large' by large dog standards - do check measurements. One slight niggle is that the bed base seems a little lightly filled/padded, but the dog doesn't seem to mind as much as we do! ;)

3.0 out of 5 stars OK, but 'maroon' in colour (not 'red'), 1 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Reasonable quality, possibly a bit short for men. Colour description wrong - packaging says 'maroon'. Very much darker brownish/reddy/purple than cheerful festive red shown on the pics, which was a bit of a disappointment.

Although part leather, there are a lot of cheaper plastic materials used.

Lightweight and comfortable, though I have my doubts how long they'll last.

As others have said, slightly on the small size.

Went out in light snow (about 2 to 3 inches) to walk the dogs. Feet warm, grip good, but somehow my socks got slightly wet... it can only have got in through the seams.

I found these at a 'deal' price on Amazon at £16 and really can't complain, they'll do an occasional job, but I wouldn't want to walk any great distance or in them in wet conditions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, lightweight boot for the price, 12 Jan. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As other reviewers have said, slightly on the large side. As I bought them for winter use, that's not a problem, as I prefer to wear this type of boot with thick socks or a cushioned insole.

Some have said that the sole is almost like a trainer sole and lacks support. But then, it's not a heavy-duty walking boot and I'm not disappointed in the support it offers.

It's a nice, lightweight walking boot for relatively easy going. More arduous walks will need a sturdier boot.

But for what it is, and at the price (around £25), no complaints.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great build quality and finish - and a delight to use, 20 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Wanted to treat myself to a quality tripod after years of 'making do' with wobbly/flimsy or just 'basic' tripods. I was tempted to go for Manfrotto, but read a review on a photographic site that Vanguard were, in the reviewer's opinion, of at least equal if not better quality, and significantly better value.

So I went for this model with the PH32 pan head.

I am absolutely amazed and delighted with the quality of this bit of kit.

Build quality and finish is fantastic, elements all move very smoothly, lock securely and the whole unit is very stable and wobble-free. Movement on the alloy fluid head is very smooth and judder-free and the rotating column with sideways adaptability quick and easy in operation.

It's more of a studio tripod, but its certainly light enough to be easily carried (it comes with a decent carry case) - though for regular outdoor use a specialist travel tripod would clearly be more convenient.

It's a real pleasure to use and it's everything I want in a tripod for my own needs.
