I stumbled upon this book whilst trawling through the kindle store and I'm glad I did. I was interested to read this account of the events of Christmas 1989 because during the summer of that year, I visited Romania as a tourist. Whilst touring this beautiful country, I had no clue as to what would happen there a mere 4 months later. Although this account is very sparse, (it's written by a journalist in a very journalistic style) it gives a very good outline and has made me seek out more titles on the subject. Also, it can easily be read in one sitting! A good place to start research

3.0 out of 5 stars Such a shame, 31 Mar. 2013
An interesting and absorbing tale let down, as previous reviews mention, by a shocking amount of spelling & grammatical errors. I almost stopped reading because of this. Also, there are some scenarios that simply beggar belief, and I don't mean the supernatural elements. For example, could a teenaged student really leave home to return 6 short years later as a seasoned and outstanding SAS officer?!
However, despite some unnecessary filling (a brief history of popyrus, and of blood groups), this is quite a good, fun read. Some of the twists I figured out quite early on and, by the author's own admission, the central storyline isn't original. That said, the historical elements are well researched and the action sequences are well executed.
Given the author's background in teaching, I don't believe the obvious, glaring errors are his. Therefore, I'd say that this is a pretty good first novel. Good enough for me to give his second novel (the start of which is included) a read before giving up on this author. Three stars because it's a four star story but a one star editing/proof reading/publishing job.

This LUPO USB Power Adapter does exactly what it says. I bought it for a recent holiday overseas, with my wife & her parents, & it worked perfectly with my Sony NWZ-S639F Walkman, my wife's 3rd gen. ipod nano & my father-in-law's 4th. gen. ipod nano. What more could anyone ask?!
