The second book in the Virgil cormack series introduces us to a new character she is independant single minded and sexy she partners virgil through France on a journey of mystery and intrigue the chemistry between the two is electric and Jumps out of the page in waves of sexual tension and humour.

The author has written two of the best characters I have read in years This book is an absolute winner I cannot wait to find out what happens next to our two wonderful heroes

Raymond Best has once again captured superbly the factual element of France and England during the French revolution.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well written, 13 Mar. 2012
The book is a mixture of fiction and historical fact the story moves at a nice pace with mystery and suspense the characters are well witten and Raymond Best has been excellent Portraying the sights sounds and life of 1700s England and France I judge a book by asking (1) do I care about the character (2) Am I eager to know what happens next . I can answer yes to both, as this is the authors first book I can say I will be looking forward to his second

How can we carry on with on more Sid no more Bolton bitter tears are are dropping onto my kindle screen has I finish Acracknophobia I can't accept this is the last book I demand that we have a fourth book in the Sid tillsley chronicles
This book follows the same pattern as the pervious two there are parts that are sinister dark violent and bloody turn the page and you are laughing till it hurts the skillfull writing of mark jack man to switch between the two so seamlessly is pure genius I would urge anybody thinking about buying this book don't think just buy the Sid tillsley chronicles and enjoy
