3.0 out of 5 stars Not really detailed enough, 3 Mar 2008
Very handy map for planning a trip to Cuba with good city maps and street information. Major landmarks, beaches and places to visit are highlighted. Some of the information on the inserts is useful, some is out of date. I like the plastic coated finish which should help stop the map falling apart. My one complaint is the scale. Whilst being a handy size the scale of 1:900 000 is a bit small for easy reading and is not really detailed enough for touring backwaters by car or planning hikes in the national parks. Road signs are not frequent in Cuba! Very nice product though and more than adequate for most organised tour holidays where a reference map is required.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Scottish Classic, 15 Aug 2007
This review is from: The Dark Ship (Paperback)
This book is captivating. I spent some time on Lewis 20 years ago and still have friends there. Memories just came flooding back. The dark ship perfectly captures for me the essence of what Lewis must have been like in the early part of the last century. It deals compassionately with the First World War and what it must have been like for non comissioned soldiers serving at that time. A very moving read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Suitable for Kodak Z650 with 55mm adapter ring fitted, 23 Nov 2006
This filter works perfectly and the results photographing moving water (especially waterfalls) makes its purchase very worthwhile. The Amazon price of £[...] is fantastic the only disappointment is that I paid a bit more!
The only negative for me is that I cannot find a lens cover to fit. This is a real pain given the risk of the lens being damaged. The rim is too narrow for all the snap-on covers that I have tried and push on covers seem obsolete these days.
Hence 4 stars instead of 5
