Public Law (Clarendon Law S.)
Public Law (Clarendon Law S.)
by Adam Tomkins
Edition: Paperback
Price: £27.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding, 18 July 2011
I cannot praise this book highly enough. For many students, the study of public law is a confusing and somewhat tedious affair. This book seeks to remedy that, by presenting the law in an accessible and easily understandable format. While utterly brilliant, this book is by now a little outdated, but this should not present too much of a problem so long as you keep up to date with current developments, and make sure to engage in some wider reading from journal articles and the like.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bitter disappointment, 11 July 2010
First off, I think it's fair to say that this game had massive potential; it had all the makings of a truly phenomenal gaming experience but unfortunately, failed to deliver. I had extremely high hopes for this game and I feel truly let down. At times this game is absolutely infuriating - take, for example, the eagle eyed enemies who will spot you in the dead of night whilst you're hidden in abundant foliage from across the map. The title 'Sniper Ghost Warrior' is perhaps misleading, and is probably the part that I most dislike about this game - from time to time you will embark upon non-sniping missions which will usually involve some sort of assault rifle. These missions are unspeakably frustrating, and often require you to confront 10+ armed enemies at any one time. It is in these missions in particular that the game does not play very well at all. Despite these flaws the game does, to it's credit, have a certain novelty about it - there's a certain satisfaction to landing a head-shot on some unfortunate soul and watching them crash to the floor in kill-cam. This game will make you laugh and cry, so if you can take the rough with the smooth perhaps you might consider Sniper Ghost Warrior.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid framework, 11 April 2010
While this book provides a student with a solid framework, it is worth noting that this publication is not sufficient for the purposes of achieving top grades. I used this book at AS alongside a number of other books, and while this book covers the key aspects of each topic, it omits to explore some areas in greater depth. Despite its flaws, it remains essential reading for any AS student. I managed to achieve an A (100%) in my AS politics exams, and I doubt that I would have been able to were it not for this core text.

5.0 out of 5 stars Remarkably good series, 23 May 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Kingdom: Series Two [DVD] (DVD)
The second series of Kingdom perfectly complements the first. It offers both compelling and ever more exciting and dynamic story lines. The fictional town of Market Shipborough is the perfect environment for which to encapsulate such concepts. Avid fans might like to know that Market Shipborough (Swaffham of Norfolk, where I in fact live) in actual fact does not have a beach. I have had the delight of watching both series of Kingdom being filmed more or less on my doorstep. In summary, anyone who enjoyed the first series, is highly likely to enjoy this series even more.
