5.0 out of 5 stars very good monitor, 27 Aug 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I had this monitor for a while now, and am very impressed by it, very easy to setup, also includes screws so you can wall mount it, )I've used the provided base) its nice to tilt and rotate the monitor. the colour is amazing,

When you get it, it will be set to eco mode, which may make the monitor dim, you need to use the provided controller to set the mode, I use user1 with a reduced brightness, but make sure you don't damage or lose the remote, the problem is, without it, you will lose a lot of functionality if you do. As the controller is used to switch modes, which there are a few, adjust the brightness, and more. I'm using a DVI cable, not bothered with HDMI, even then I wouldn't use the twin speakers on the monitor, a bit pointless if you already got a nice speaker setup which I have.

I can't really fault the monitor, so I can easy give it 5 stars, even if it was very pricey, but I think if you want a nice monitor, you should pay a bit extra for quality. not sure what else to say, very happy it with it

I listened to the original version, and I think Andrea sang this song far better, far more moving then the original, its a great song, and she has an amazing voice and did an amazing job of singing this, both on The Voice final, and here

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but at a price, 23 Nov 2012

I have given this a 3 star. don't get me wrong this is very good, but when I tested it alongside http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000S0ORL0/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00 Johnsons baby oil gel, I can achieve the same level of close shaving then I can do with this stuff, this is why I have rated this a 3, the the johnsons baby oil gel can do exactly the same but at a fraction of the price, so I really wonder why the Dermalogica close shave oil is so expensive?

but if you can afford it go for this, if not, go for the Johnsons Baby Oil Gel, as there is no difference in my book between the two

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome substitute for shaving foam, 23 Nov 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I found this after I was looking at the Dermalogica close shave oil http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0015QQUES/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00
this johnsons baby oil gel is just as good and at a fraction of the cost, my shaving have improved considerably, if you are having problems with saving, bleeding, looking like a mess everytime you come down, then give this stuff a go, you don't need much, apply to a wet face and palms, then use a decent razer, 3 bladed razer is what I'm now back too, and you will start having really close comfortable shaves again, personalty forgot using Dermalogica close shave oil, this stuff is equally as good, 5 stars easy

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Keyboard, 25 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I purchased this keyboard not that long ago, I was reading up on mechanical keyboards and decided on this one. This keyboard uses cherry black switches, if you aren;t sure on what that means, then I suggest you read up on that and the other switch types. as there are a few. But anyway, this keyboard uses the cherry black type, this is the first mechanical keyboard I bought, so I don't know what the other switch types feel or sound like, yes there are some google vids that do compare the sounds, but I don't think they are a good indication, as people will have different speaker setups and volumes. What I can tell you is, while using the keyboard might be a little noisy, but not that noisy, it depends on how far down you press the keys

Oh yes, the keyboard came as the UK layout, which I think is a far better layout then the US one, as this includes the large enter key, and the other differences. While the keyboard may not be classed as a gaming keyboard, as it has no macro keys like the razor blackwidow, nor does it have back lighting, but if you want a nice responsive keyboard, this is it. oh yes, something else that I think I should mention, there is no left windows key on this keyboard, as it gets replaced by a media key, which once placed allows you to use the F keys to control media players. But for me, I'm not a big fan of the windows key anyway, especially for gaming, as the key can easy be tapped. so the removal one one windows key doesn't bother me, but if if you need this key (there is a windows key on the right side of the keyboard, besides the Alt Gr key, but if you need the left one, then I suggest you look at another keyboard

the other nice thing is, the spacebar is very nice to press to, as pressing the spacebar, to the extreme left or right gets a good response as pressing it in the middle.

Oh yes, the palm rest, I would certainly use,the keyboard itself iis fairly high, so having the palm rest does help a lot, but I wouldn't really remove it and re attach it, it's just plastic and could get damaged or the plastic prongs could snap, so I highly recommend keeping it on.

Now for the military grade wire, its pretty thick, and fairly heavy, and not very movable, but for me this isn't much of a problem, but for some users it might be, but I not had any issues with the weight of the cable moving the PS/2 adaptor out, (and by the way, while it does have a default USB port, I highly suggest using the provided adaptor, as using it in the PS/2 port will allow more keys to be recognised by the computer, if you use it with the USB, it will detect up to 6 keys max. but anyway, I have it set to my PS/2 port and not had any issues with keys not been detected.

one more point, this keyboard is heavy, so I wouldn't want this on your legs, have it on a desk.

Can't think what else to really add about the keyboard. I really like it, and while I did look at a few mechanical keyboards, I choose this one and really glad I did. so can't think what else to say about it. I use it for some typing and gaming, but Im not a pro typer, if you were, you probably want to use a keyboard that uses blue cherry switches. but I like the feel of the keys and I have no trouble typing long periods of time with this keyboard. but certainly for gaming, its really responsive and this is where a mechanical keyboard truly shines

while the price is expensive, but I will never go back to a normal keyboard, my days of using them are over. once you make the switch, you will never lok back, as there is a massive difference in using the two types

I think I will end this review here

thanks for reading

5.0 out of 5 stars What a breath of fresh air, 7 Nov 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I saw an advert for this album on TV, and thought, "What a voice!!"

well I just bought the MP3 downloads for all 12 of her songs, Im not interested in that much music these days, as rap and other formats seem to be the mainstream these days and older more classical music seems to be getting phased out, or harder to get / find or fewer artists not bothering with the old stuff anymore, but this lady has a great voice, this is the kind of music I really like,

so a 5 stars for the music / style from me, so nice to hear / see artists still doing the old style classics, rather then the mainstream rubbish that plaguing TV and music channels these days

so yes, nice breath of fresh air, pretty lady and a great voice to boot
what more can I say?

SteelSeries 9HD Gaming Surface Mousepad (PC)
SteelSeries 9HD Gaming Surface Mousepad (PC)

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good mouse mat, 9 Aug 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I tried a few mouse mats, mainly soft, I did have a hard mouse mat that didn't last long, so I didn't bother to try another for some time, until now

the steelseries 9HD is a very good, very high quality mouse mat, its very thin, so good for the wrist, its very hard, (there is some flexability in it, but generally its pretty tough. I'm using a logitech G9 with it and tracking is awesome, spot on, alose the smoothnes of the mat is great, so there is no sticking to the mat, so small movements are are possible, (CAD work or precision usage like RTSs

while the cost is pretty high compared to other mats, this mat should last you a long time, I used mine for a month now, and not had any issues with it,

I highly recommended this mat, not sure what else to really say, (PS the sise of the maty is fine for me, and another thing I like about the mat, its not coming of my desk like a few other mats I had, its pretty much firmly on the surface of my desk and won't move an inch

overall, top marks, if you are interested in getting a hard mouse mat, consider this one,
