I read a review asking the question "why is Bruce so angry?" and had to go find out for myself. Looked up the details (on Amazon, of course) ordered the album and haven't been disappointed. Bruce Springsteen rails against the greedy and the rich, criticising the economic mess they've foisted upon the developed economies and the consequent price to be paid by the working classes. The anger is palpable and even infectious. The listener is left feeling glad that someone is speaking out, in the good old tradition of "rock 'n roll". I believe this is his best album ever. 5.0 out of 5 stars Second Chance, 15 July 2012

I never heard of Shinedown until I heard Second Chance at a gig in the O2. It was such a haunting track that I had to look it up when got home, found some material about the band, listened to a few tracks and was hooked. Ordered this album and have been listening to it in the car ever since. There's a CD with 20 tracks, plus a DVD, so there's plenty to listen to. Comparisons are unfair as their lyrics and the music set them apart from other soft rock bands. Would love to see them on this side of the Atlantic. Chris C

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Crazy - what a movie, what a soundtrack, 15 July 2012

For those of us nostalgic types, stuck in a time warp, this is a great movie with an inspiring soundtrack. It's better than the average range of songs that accompany a nostalgia movie, in fact it could stand alone as an album. Jimmy Nail, Stephen Rea, Timothy Spall, Billy Connolly and Bill Nighy, excel whilst touring together as rock band Strange Fruit, re-building their set as they improve from gig to gig, and resurrecting their most popular songs for an appreciative audience. At the end of the day, the viewer is left with the comforting impression that 'The Flame Still Burns". Makes you want to watch this movie and hear this soundtrack again and again. Chris C
