5.0 out of 5 stars A different breed of shooter, 1 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this game on the basis that I played on of the original Spec Ops games on PlayStation a few years back and loved it.

I think if your looking for a new multiplayer experience away from COD or Battlefield this isn't the game the multiplayer isn't anything special. What sets this game apart is the campaign.

The campaign is very different to any other shooter I've played. You take a journey with the delta squad that you command. And its not a happy journey. Bringing in a realism that war does not have a heroic ending like other games. This is a bit more gritty and real in that respect.
Its a good length campaign took me about 8 hours on hard, and was quite pleased when I finished felt like an accomplishment.

There are a few bad points about the game, being the multiplayer is nothing like the campaign which i found disappointing its just any other shooter in that respect.
In the campaign the duck behind cover system was good but not refined and you get killed because the game is struggling to understand what your telling it to do.

Apart from those I would highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a good war game. Its a bit more realistic than any other I've played so far.

Bought this as me and the better half always charge our phones on long journey, since then it hasn't been taken out of the cigarette lighter, very inconspicuous, think it's great, bit expensive but top quality product. Would prefer to pay for something to last than get a cheap one which doesn't.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best In It's Class, 21 Aug. 2012
Well I changed to this phone from the Nokia N8 as i needed something more designed towards the business.

There are a lot of good points about this phone:
The qwerty keyboard is fantastic, can use it as a mini laptop, I have installed Microsoft office onto the phone, and although I can't do all things that I can do on the Laptop it certainly does note taking and minutes for meetings.
Design of the phone is really good, although quite a heavy phone, I like the way it feels, and the slide system for the screen is great, seems really sturdy and i think it will last a long time.
The software, which is on Symbian Belle now is absolutely fine, you can't compare it to Android or Apple, as this system is designed for business users, and having had blackberry's and an I phone, i would pick this over them any day because it works in the business environment brilliantly.
The email is really good, especially for Microsoft exchange. Have my personal accounts and business accounts on the phone, have 5 accounts in total, and it copes with it absolutely fine.
The camera is good, especially if I do forget my actual camera I know i have a good back up.
Storage, a little limiting on this as there is no where to put a memory card, so you are limited to the 16 GB that it has.
The Battery life, well here is a touch subject with reviewers so I will leave it with my experience with the last 2 years ive been using it, I use my phone a lot when im working and the phone will last the day with the usage, which means i have to charge it every night, which doesn't bother me at all, i have a charger in the car just in case i forget, but seems fine to me, can't expect it to last a week considering how small the battery is and how much it has to do.

Only a few bad points i thought of,
It needs a dual sim, this would make it a perfect phone, where you can have your business contract and your personal phone number in one phone and have the capability to switch between the two.
Software, although the software is really good, it has a tendency to just turn off randomly, luckily it hasn't happened when im doing something important.

Overall this is the best phone i have ever owned, and I wait until the next top line E series is released, if you are looking for a phone which is fun, you are looking in the wrong place, but if you need a good business phone here is your answer.

4.0 out of 5 stars An epic journey to nowhere! (No Spoilers), 25 April 2012

Well i think looking at other peoples review you will get the jist of how people are feeling about the game.

Ive waited a while to do this review as i didn't want to rush it.

But ignore the fact that it has a bad ending (although playing the first two it was difficult in my eyes to see how they would end it, but we all feel they should of chosen something else) this is one amazing series and the final chapter is definitely the best.
The gameplay is outstanding very intuitive and so well refined from the original version. Very easy to pick up even if you haven't played the other two.
But the key thing with these games especially this one is the way that they make you feel, it takes you on a journey of adventure which you will get entirely emersed into and for that this game is one of the best. The bad ending is just one of those things which i don't think ruins the whole game but is just "one of those things".

Would recommend to anyone and judge for yourself on the game you won't be dissapointed, just take the ending with a pinch of salt.

First Into Action: A Dramatic Personal Account of Life Inside the SBS

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, 12 Feb. 2012

As a man who is currently joining the Royal Marines as an officer, and will be looking into joining the SBS, this book is very useful from the perspective of selection and training, if you are looking at this from an aspect of enjoyment it has that aswell, it is very well written and very interesting, my grandparents borrowed this book and they loved it.
Alot of negative reviews say that it is about just waiting around and not much action, well it is like that in the real world, its not all out battles all the time as Andy McNab would have you believe.
Would recommend this book though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reviewing after all updates and map packs!!, 12 Feb. 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Well it has been two years and finally doing a review, for what can be described as a great game, its good fun and thats whats important.
The campaign is a preety good one actually unbelievable ( having studied the cold war and vietnam war ) but wasn't expecting a real account otherwise it would be pretty boring, there wasn't that much spec ops work done, and what was done was in Russia.
Multiplayer, really good fun, alot of people hate that "quickscoping" was taken out but unfortunately it is not actually possible unless your about 3 feet away from the person. But it's quite fast paced and addictive, infruriating sometimes and great at other times, as always.
Zombies well what can i say treyarch out did themselves here, the most addictive thing of the game, and the map packs made it so much better, with some great easter eggs which are so hard to do, but make you want to keep trying to get it.
Its nice to see there not like Infinity ward and milking the cash cow that is Modern Warfare. Have reviewed them, not going into it here!
Only a few downsides, there is no multiplayer campaign (unlike Call Of Duty World At War) and connection can be annoying online, and i know it's not me as i have got really good Broadband.
But would definately recommend it!!

Having read some of the negative reviews for this film, i wasn't that put off, it had a to good cast for that, and i was right, people saying that the story is thin and the characters aren't deep, heck it's not supposed to be, its really funny and will have you smiling all the way through, its typical Tim Allen comedy, if you didn't like home improvement i wouldn't recommend this.

1.0 out of 5 stars MW3??? I Think its still MW2!!, 12 Feb. 2012
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
Okay ive left it a while to actually do this review, i really wanted to like this game but im just not feeling it, and i think alot of the community is feeling the same way. Its a real let down in my eyes considering how much i had to pay for it, my first response was that it felt like a map pack to MW2.

There are some great things about this game, great graphics, easy to play, hasn't been hacked yet, survival mode.
But i expected that anyway, i was expecting it to be so much better than MW2 and it just isn't, they haven't made any headway in the time they have had.

Im afraid i will continue playing black ops and BF3 (which shouldn't be compared to this game there totally different)
