Again another original and thought provoking book by the author. Enjoyable and easy to read. Her descriptions of the nightmara attacks are unique and terrifying! Several times I imagined these incidents happening to myself.

Am looking forward to reading her other books and thoroughly recommend this one to others, it leaves you asking a lot of questions!!!

I read this book so quickly and its brilliant! The author has such a way with words, instantly drawing you into the main characters world. Her writing is fluid and clear, there are so many questions that weren't answered until the end! I thoroughly recommend this book to anyone as it is an interesting and original work of literature! Downloaded the authors other books now :)

Im a massive fan of the Grudge and the Ju-on series. The manga is EXACTLY what i expected. Great build up of suspense, brilliant and skilled artwork and often graphic and bloody scenes... defiantly not one for the faint hearted. Not giving to much away, as I dont want to ruin the enjoyment of reading the manga for yourselves. :)

Psychocharger are great! Quite under rated. Catchy lyrics, great guitar riffs and songs which stick in your mind. This album tends to be quite hard to come by though, so if you can find it quite cheap, defiantly get it, its not worth more then £10.00 in my personal opinion.

its not the greatest figure in the world, the quality is not that great. plus the newborn has never been a favourite of mine... nor has the alien rez franchise... but if you can find this figure cheap its worth buying as its retail value is £20.00. i managed to find mine in a comic shop for £8.00 but thats probably because they didnt know what they were selling...

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Walkthrough., 5 April 2012

i pre-ordered this walk through for when the Mass Effect game came out, for me and my partner to both use as we are big fans of the franchise. i was pleasantly surprised when the item arrived, as it is a very hefty book, so excellent value for money.

i found it easy to use, and very straightforward. i also like how there are several different methods stated on how to take on various enemies. The images that are represented alongside the walk through are colorful and detail the surrounding area very clearly so you know exactly what area you need to be in. The images are also very handy in finding the galaxy at war assets that pop up some of the side missions: such as the turian poison in the cerberus scientist mission and the dogtags in the cerberus evacuation mission, which im pretty sure i would have missed if it wasn't for the walk through informing the reader exactly were to find these items.

i also like how the book is split, first of all if you've not played the other two games in the series, it explains the whole storyline in depth. the character bio's are interesting and well written- informing the reader clearly the characters backgrounds leading up to the events in Mass Effect 3, as well as outlining clearly any potential love interests the male/female Shepard can partake in. The largest section of the book is devoted to a detailed an easy read walk through of all the acts. I also love the fact that they chose to not spoil the ending and include detailed imagery. it was stated that it is left to the reader to find all the alternative endings, also it is written upside down so if you dont want to find out then your not pressed to do so.

the cerberus, hub mission and side missions are easy to read, and they inform you exactly at what acts in the game they can be accessed which is extremely helpful.

all in all i think this is an excellent companion for any dedicated mass effect gamer. its certainly worth 14.99 that i happened to pay for the item. however it doesn't include any DLC content, which is fair enough as they probably had to much content to place into one book.

Dead Space - Aftermath [DVD]
Dead Space - Aftermath [DVD]

3.0 out of 5 stars its good but downfall is better..., 26 Mar 2012
This review is from: Dead Space - Aftermath [DVD] (DVD)
im a big deadspace fan. have played both games and watched the previous dead space anime "downfall" which is brilliant. however when watching "aftermath" to be honest i wasnt that thrilled. the story jumps around, and sometimes its hard to keep track about what is going on. i also didnt like the style of anime- i thought they should have kept it closer to downfall. its a weird mix and makes viewing it slightly disorientating.

i also feel that i didnt connect with the protagonist character as much as i did with Vincent from Downfall. so i didnt really care what happened to them at the end of the day.

i wouldnt recommend buying this film- just watch downfall instead as you get much more out of it then this one.

some positive aspects about aftermath include: the traditional gruesome blood and gore expected of any dead space franchise. also how the story links to aspects of dead space 2 and adds a different perspective.

Aliens: Nightmare Asylum: Aliens : Nightmare Asylum
Aliens: Nightmare Asylum: Aliens : Nightmare Asylum
by Steve Perry
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars i love this book!, 4 Feb 2012
I am an avid reader of the aliens franchise. This particular book is one of my favorites, the pace is consistent, the story line is engrossing and the characters are realistic. The best thing about the first books in the alien series is the closeness to the main alien films. The character of Wilks is Hicks and the character of Billie is Newt. The names were changed only due to the fact when Alien 3 came out they decided to kill of Hicks and Newt, yet the comic and book franchise had decided to keep them alive hence why a name change was necessary. In a way i prefer the book/comic world as Hicks was one of my favorite characters and I don't think the film world justified him enough.

Anyway... the story line is fluid and interesting, and the authors descriptions of the Aliens are fantastic, i remember getting a cold shiver down my spine as it was so realistic.

all in all 10/10 and a must read for an Aliens fan.

Cinderalla
Cinderalla

Edition: Paperback
Price: £8.38

5.0 out of 5 stars another fantastic manga by Junko Mizuno..., 25 Jan 2012
This review is from: Cinderalla (Paperback)
Cinderalla is a take on the popular Cinderella Fairy-Tale, however with Junko Mizuno nothing is ever a straight forward fairy tale. A delightful mixture of sweet, cute and grotesque, her artwork is outstanding, colorful, vibrant and unique.

An interesting take on a traditional story, and well worth the purchase for any Mizuno Fan.
