As Allcott's first book, this must not be the last, if this is how he advocates managing productivity in the modern work place, I want to know more about his approach to other aspects of working life in the 21st Century!

How to be a Productivity Ninja is written clearly: it is humorous and insightful, with logical and detailed chapters, recognising the tyranny faced by millions on a daily basis coping with barrages of emails, frequent interruptions and the myriad of distractions we face, and how to utilise these, e.g. phone apps, to our advantage. This book is a joy to read and every page is filled with real life examples, detailed suggestions and practical solutions to ensure the worker's efforts are utilised to their best. There is even an interesting section about healthy lifestyles, including meditation, which whilst seemingly obvious and in the latter, recently recognised as a successful treatment for a range of health issues, often lacks focus in similar books.

Thoroughly recommended to all service industry officers, anyone using work email and those wanting to enjoy their work more, feel less anxious about their growing 'to do list' and 'get things done' effectively, with less stress.

Allcott is one to watch and one to emulate. The money and energy spent buying and reading this book will reap rewards! Get moving folks, we CAN achieve what we need to in the office, and start 2013 as you mean to go on, do your first Productive thing and purchase this book for yourself and your loved ones! We all need strategies to get things done in our age of information overload and this book holds it all!

Peace

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, strenuous and enjoyable, 20 Jan 2011

Rodney Yee has a very calming voice, considering he speaks over his own actions, you are not distracted by anything and it's easy to follow what he is asking you to do once you can recognise the formation of each pose, without having to lift up your head to look at the screen.

I've done yoga with DVDs/videos and Wii Fit about 6 times and the second go at Rodney's DVD I completed the whole thing. The first time I was not able to manage all of the complex full body moves and the twists.

Whilst you are flinging your body from one pose to the next (from prayer, standing forward bend, lunch, press-up, upward dog to downward dog for example in about 60 seconds) it makes you sweat so you know it's doing your body good. Interestingly too, the ending is extremely therapeutic and very relaxing!

If you are looking for a repetitive (but not boring), calming and strenuous workout I would recommend it. I would highly recommend his style and this DVD.
