5.0 out of 5 stars Epic., 1 May 2013

Despite it's age there's freshness to this album that seems to make even todays rock music sound arthritic. Pathetic even.

This Rush album, above all others, seems to pull in the best bits of all it's predecessors AND the ones that followed, and in doing so becomes the gold standard by which all other rock albums - and not just Rush - must be judged by.
Power Windows hits like an early malicious Tyson blow, with the trio harnessing all their powers into a cacophony of crash chords (Big Money), orgasmic guitar solos (Emotion Detector), keyboard meltdowns (Marathon), crazy bass licks (Territories) and merciless, intelligent drumming throughout (well, what else did you expect?). Truly the ultimate soundtrack for the greed driven aspirations that still drive us.

5.0 out of 5 stars Utterly incredible., 23 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Never has a journey into the anatomy of self-hatred been so brilliantly travelled.

Through Schnell's genius performance (Al Pacino has NOTHING on this in the speech stakes), we witness what the 'shame' of being a Holocaust victim can lead to.

And there I was thinking author Robert Shaw was just that bloke in Jaws!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lets Dance this ain't!, 23 May 2012
This review is from: Diamond Dogs (Audio CD)
Probably the best Bowie / any album of all time.

Bowie laid bare, with all his mythology's crashing into each other. Insanity, drugs and the compete degradation of the soul all compete for the centre of medical attention in a loveless Owellian universe.

Musically and lyrically as potent as anything Bowie has conjured before or since, let Diamond Dogs be the standard by which all other epics are measured.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cuts to the chase like a nuclear powered knife., 20 April 2009
I bought this book on the basis that it looked different to all the other cliche and anecdote ridden sales books that have polluted my bookshelf. What a great move - as a salesman of twenty years experience I can testify that this sales book that doesn't just go through the motions but exposes the hidden and brutal information that lies between a presentation and getting the sale. Mr Rosenberg goes way way way beyond fixating on your products benefits ( the stuff that make up 99.9% all the other books) but DEMANDS you never ever let your prospect off the hook, making sure that you either get a yes OR a no because you can't eat on eternal 'maybe's.

Fascinating, yet obvious and logical stuff. For those who really want the best things in life, and refuse to have a sales career littered with regret- buy this book.

An incredible testament.

Yoni's beautiful writing shows what a sensitive, intelligent man he was. It's also a lesson in life - a truly intimate insight into the workings of genius on and off the battlefield.

His infinite inspiration will be felt for generations.
