1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible - bugs, battery is a joke, and finally just completely died, 10 Jun 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
first of all i have never given a one star review before, but i felt obliged to share my experiences so ppl dont make the same mistake as me!

i got that player about 3 months ago.

I usually dont go for the cheapest but judging on positive reviews here i made the mistake to get that complete piece of garbage that is the SanDisk Sansa Clip. It is plain bad.... First it doesnt read some of the folders i put on it. they are just not there. the name of many of the folders appears to be with &% for no apparent reason (its not because of the spaces or different alphabet). the battery indicator is wrong. it shows 50% and then the player dies...

I would have been ok with the above but worse of all if u lock it while it plays (the buttons are very sensitive) it blocks after 10 sec and then restarts. it does that a couple of times and then the battery (which was fully charged before) shows almost empty and the played switches off. this happened many many times over the last couple of weeks. finally yesterday it did that and just never came back to life. I plugged it with 2 different cables on 2 different pcs and its just black screen. As if there is no battery. now i will have to struggle with the warranty.

I will just try to get my money back or otherwise i will throw it and learn the lesson of never going for the cheapest.....

4.0 out of 5 stars Very sharp, light and cool, but gets a bit rusty and has a slightly uncomfortable pin., 3 Jun 2013
This review is from: Edelrid Rope Tooth Knife (Sports)
I got this about an year ago and have used it mainly for camping and hiking on climbing trips.

Pros:
- Its super light and sharp. Cuts through anything.
- can be attached on a small carbiner on the harness. very important if your climbing carbiner blocks on the anchor and cant be opened any more (has happened to a fr). could be used to cut the sling or rope.
- looks very nice and feels good even though its plastic
- its sturdy. I've dropped it and opened beers with it and it didnt even scratch!
- locks open which is very important.
- dishwasher save.

Cons:
- the pin which is used to open the knife is nice to open but gets in the way of stuff if you wanna cut tomatoes, apples for example. i tried hard to remove it but i couldn't.
- it got rusty parts on it..... thats was a shock for me but it is a fact... thats really annoying..
- sand/dust goes between the blade and the plastic body. thus it makes a scratching sound when opened. cant be cleaned easily if at all...

if it wasn't for the cons id put 5 stars for an awesome product, but because of them 4 only.

1.0 out of 5 stars Looks and feels cool but doesnt cut well, 3 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
After 1 year and more of using it im sorry to say but its not a good product! Yes u can use it under the shower and its waterproof and slient and the battery is rly good but it cuts really bad.

A shaver is supposed to cut and this doesnt do it - i have soft beard (i actually shave 2 times per week only), but it still doesnt cut well and there are ALWAYS hairs afterwards. Thus i have to use the normal razor every time... Takes 20 mins to make sure all hairs are off.....

thats the opinion of 2 friends of mine as well with this product and the more expensive one as well. Absolutely do not recommend!

Fontainebleau Climbs: The Finest Bouldering and Circuits (Mountaineers)
Fontainebleau Climbs: The Finest Bouldering and Circuits (Mountaineers)

4.0 out of 5 stars Essential for begginers and first timers, but with a lot of improvement points, 24 Nov 2012

This book is among the best for beginner level and for people who haven't been to Font before. It is comprehensive and has maps for almost all sectors and places. For sure more than the next couple of books. The topos are relatively good. It also gives info on how quickly the boulders will dry, how crowded it usually is, how far it is from the parking, etc. It is circuit based which i found not to be that optimal but that is a personal thing. I definitely recommend BUT there are some SUPER ANNOYING details which i cant miss complaining about!

- there are many photos which is cool, but for some ridiculous reason they have nothing to do with the given sector currently described. In other words - completely random! Useless.... I had never ever seen anything like this in another guidebook... It would have been so much better if it depicted the exact route of the problem or at least gave some more explanation on the details (slopers, cripms, etc). The other good books do give that (5+6+7+8 for example)!

- the mini maps are useless..... it is literally impossible to find the parking places based on that info alone. Especially if u havent been to Font before. The book has to be used with the Font 1:150000 map, a GPS, and most importantly - serious research before u embark on your trip. Go on the net and write down the gps coordinates of the parking places AND circuits.

in conclusion - i think the book is essential but not enough by itself. Consider 5+6 or 7+8 by Baart van Raj as a complementary book. Also the big map of the forest, and some solid GPS preparation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great interview preparation material!, 24 Nov 2012
I got this book as a present from a good friend in a transitional period in my life. I had considered books like this before but this was the first one i used properly.

If you try to do the test quickly and without thinking (so as to avoid conscious bias from blurring in,)your intuitive responses will be quite a challenge because it asks you to choose between 2 things u like but uve never compared or two things which seem quite unrelated at first.

The results were surprisingly good! I do identify with all 5 suggested strengths. If you have been honest with yourself before the results shouldn't really come as a shock. What i found particularly helpful was that when i read the descriptions of the strengths I realized that I agree 100%with everything said but i had never been able to express it so accurately and with so few words. Why is this important? - INTERVIEWS! This book helped me a lot to be able to talk about myself in an interview context and improved the way I present myself. I found it very appropriate for the initial stages of a job change/ job search situation.
