2.0 out of 5 stars Good Text At Parts But Repeats Like A Merry Go Round!!, 21 April 2007
This review is from: Textbook on Land Law (Paperback)
I cant be to critic, about this, because land law without doubt is a complex and ever evolving branch of law, which can drive anyone up the wall, regardless of writing or reading etc.

The original part of this part in the introduction of a virtual landscape and fictional characthers in a very good point and does bring home some more complex elements down to earth, and the book is if anyone in depth, perhaps at some points to much, especially when considering old laws that dont bear no resemblence to modern law now, but i guess thats the fun of law to!!

But on a negative side, in my eyes, the case history in the book is not at times using cases of simplicty to get the point across and are often long winded affairs and to which even sometimes they cut off from wording because of!!, dosent hol much hope for the student i think!

Also you often find that you read something and then later think you reading the same thing, ( like a dream when you wake up and suddenly remember you dreamt it!! lol ) that really does annoy me, because sometimes you end up chater surfing and thats not a good thing to be doing alot, aslo i would recommend if you want to make any sense of the starting chapters or later ones, invest in a equity and trusts book because if you havint covered it in property 2 yet, you really going to be lost off, at least i was!!

Anyway, its got its good points and bad points, but in balance, i would have to fair and say for me personally, i have read better books that i find easier, but thats me, and for me its bad points out number the good ones.

Sorry but i would give serious thought to over texts before reading this

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny, daft and bizarre and almost educational!!!, 16 April 2007
I bought the book because i was bored to be honest and am studying a LLB course and decided i would like to cover some really old laws, and in doing so i stumbled across this little beauty.

Its great laughter all the way through and makes you both proud and shamed to be english, but its also been a great help in learning history to do with my law degree, helps to form a broad knowledge, but besides that, it is superb read for law or non law person alike..

5.0 out of 5 stars English Legal System is made Simple and easier to learn!!!!, 30 Mar. 2007
Law Express English Legal System, is a superb book for purposes of revison and an breif aid to learning the foundations of the English Legal System in LLB Courses. I have used this book for learning the core points of the system with the hope that it would set be in good ground for the start of my degree studies, in which it has done exactly that.

The language and context is great for easier learning and the mock essays and questions, website features to or a excellent aid to learning.

4.0 out of 5 stars AS Law Revison - Very Good For Basic Foundations Of The English Legal System, 29 Mar. 2007
This review is from: AS Law Revision [DVD] (DVD)
I am in commencement of my first year of LLB Law at Newcastle University, before i started the first module, which was based upon the English Legal System, i had little to no knowledge of the key principles with regards to Legislation, Parliament, Judical System Etc, and found that before i started the cause this DVD helped along with other reading materials to set the foundations for the start of my legal training.

The DVD is straightforward often cheesey!!, but uses good case examples to really bring depth to the points of law examined in it. I would highly recommend this has not just AS level quality but great aslo for a step ahead for starting a degree course, with little or no knowledge of the legal system before starting!!!!..
