5.0 out of 5 stars Must have game for any xbox 360 owner, 6 July 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Loved this game from start to finish. The 3D works perfectly, but its best played in the dark when using 3D. The action is brill, storyline is brill! Batman has tonnes of gadgets you can use to suprise henchmen. The game isnt too short or isnt too long. Graphics are next level. Seriously good game, I can't wait for Arkham Asylum 2. 3D version is only a few pounds more than the non 3D version...its worth spending a bit more. If you don't like the 3D you can switch to 2D at any time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for understanding the basics, 3 May 2009
This book is very well written and easy to understand. It constantly refers to published journal articles as a means for evidence-based practice. It covers the basic principles of ergonomics, restorative dentistry and endodontics and is ideal for those just starting their clinical years. The only criticism I have, is that it is completely black and white with no photos, and it tends to lack in diagrams. The diagrams that are there, however, are very good. It is only a small book, and for under 30 it's not badly priced.

Gray's Anatomy for Students Flash Cards: With STUDENT CONSULT Online Access
Gray's Anatomy for Students Flash Cards: With STUDENT CONSULT Online Access
by Richard Drake
Edition: Cards

5.0 out of 5 stars Life-saving!!, 3 May 2009
I thoroughly recommend this product to any medical or dental student. The images are great, there are cards containing radiographic images (as well as the computer aided art), and there are clinical cards to aid with surface anatomy and landmarks, etc. The images are stunning throughout, I don't think there is any better out there! I found these essential for my anatomy spotter exams and I don't know what I'd have done without them!

Hancock [DVD] [2008]

5.0 out of 5 stars I thought it was great!, 12 Jan 2009
This review is from: Hancock [DVD] [2008] (DVD)
There are a lot of people that have given this film bad reviews, but I really don't see whats bad about it? It's a different take on the superhero theme, but you still get your usual superhero cliques. I think it's great to see Will Smith do some comedy again as opposed to the serious films he's done recently. Everyone should see this film, its light hearted and fun. If you don't want to buy it, just rent it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazin game...must have for any fan of first person shooters, 24 Dec 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This is by far my favourite game on the Xbox 360. The graphics awesome...the actual detail of the gun is outstanding! There are plenty of missions to do and lots of guns to play with. You can do whatever you want really, if you like creeping around and sniping unsuspecting terroists you can do that, but if you prefer to blow the hell out of them with phosphorus, you can do that too! The co-op mode is decent as well (plus you get an extra man!). You can even change what gear you are wearing. A definate must have!

Human Histology: With STUDENT CONSULT Online Access, 3e (Human Histology (Stevens))
by Alan Stevens MRCPath
Edition: Paperback
Price: 31.76

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Depth for Dental Students, 16 Jun 2008
I used this book a lot for the first year of dental school, and I found that it goes into the right amount of depth needed for the histology part of the course. I tried Wheaters, and also the images are better than Stevens and Lowe, the content is somewhat sparing and if does not go into enough detail for a pbl based course.

5.0 out of 5 stars Now there is a way of learning immunology quickly!!, 18 May 2008
This book is fantastic! I would seriously recommend it to all medical and dental students! Every immunology book I've read seems to just drag on, and by the end of a chapter you've switched off! This book presents immunology in a straight to the point, concise manner. It covers a topic on 2 pages (I like very much). The overview is great and gives you the whole picture. The illustrations are simple and easy to understand!

It has also been very well written, and is not confusing! Personally I feel ten billion times more confident about the immunology aspect of my course after reading this book!

4.0 out of 5 stars The story is rubbish...but lets face it who cares?, 17 Jan 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Timeshift (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
OK, I'm telling you now, the story is crap. You are trying to get this guy, who has another one of these time suit things and while you do it you have to go into various places and shoot lots of bad guys.

However...there are some things which make this game very very good! Firstly, the whole concept of stopping, slowing and reversing time is amazing and (in a sick kinda way) fun. Also, this game is rated 18, and this makes it so much better, because they put tonnes of gore into it - like when you put a grenade on someone, they're limbs, head and rest of their body blow up and scatter around the place.

The creaters have thought very carefully about use of time as well. You can stop time, and walk on water and not fall in. Or you can walk through fire and not get burned, etc. There are great selection of weapons from Assauslt rifles and crossbows to flamethrowers!

I really really wish they had made this game so you could play it in 3rd person view - that would have definately cranked the score to 4/5. The suit looks cool on the advert and game cover, yet you can't see it in the game.

All in all, if you like the idea of stopping time and totally destroying your enemies (and there is nothing they can do about it) then I would get this game. If you're looking for a game with a fantastic storyline and challenging enemies who can anticipate your every move, this is not the game for you really

Illustrated Anatomy of the Head and Neck
Illustrated Anatomy of the Head and Neck

3.0 out of 5 stars Good...but could be better, 17 Jan 2008
This was the first anatomy book I bought. It's at a reasonable price (unlike anatomical basis of dentistry at 60!!!) and has great illustrations. However, some of the data is misleading.

The insertion and origin points of some muscles isn't exactly right. You'll find that the authors go into great detail telling you where abouts the muscle is, but don't actually tell you the exact point which is hard because it confuses you. In Manchester Uni, our anatomy spotter is 1 minute per station, and 3 questions per station and you simply don't have the time to write a description of the point where a muscle inserts, you just want to write it and be done.

However, it is the only anatomy textbook I have found to have a good section on Lymphatics of the head and neck - with pictures! It also has a chapter on the TMJ which is useful and Local Anaesthesia. The book is split into systems (i.e. Muscular system, Vascular system, etc.) which is good because it makes things easier to locate.

My advice is to you is to buy this book - BUT make sure you have another anatomy book (Anatomical Basis of Dentistry is good - but pricey, Grays Anatomy for Students is good too) to refer to, because occasionally the data in this book is misleading.
