2.0 out of 5 stars
Fantastic novel, shoddy edition, 23 July 2010
This is a fantastic, immersive exciting page turner and Clavell's work itself is five star.
However as wonderful and simplistic as the front cover is (made better by the fact all the Asia Saga has been published to match) there are many spelling mistakes throughout the novel. Not just minor ones, I encountered the word "uncourteously" spelled "untoursly" around page 500. Not a huge issue but can bring you out of the moment, and in a book with phonetic Japanese it takes a second to figure out whether its a typo or not.
I don't know if this problem is in all printings, but thought I post a review so people knew.
