4.0 out of 5 stars Good value but only for the experienced., 28 Aug. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It's good value but replacing just this damaged part is a nightmare. I since bought the more expensive screen with the touch sensor already in place. You need to use a heat gun to prize the touch sensor from the glass before replacing with this. And you need to know what you are doing - it is not a case of removing a few screws and moving the camera / screen.

A great quality item for a very reasonable cost. Suggest you get a second battery as it does chew through them and worth having another one charged and ready to go.

5.0 out of 5 stars the metal filter will slide off the compressed coffee grains very easily., 25 Nov. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Works very well and is high quality.
Tip: When you have "pressed" the coffee, run the filter assembly under a cold tap for a second, then when you unscrew the holder, the metal filter will slide off the compressed coffee grains very easily.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a great start - less than two weeks and the drive is dead..., 27 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
...or at least it says it is dead. Reading the other reviews here, it might be this firmware error relating to S.M.A.R.T.

I will wait to see what the supplier says and if they will accept the risk If I apply a firmware update myself in an attempt to fix.
Note: this is a review of the ITEM and not the SUPPLIER.

5.0 out of 5 stars As described and prompt delivery, 17 April 2012

As you would expect, a diary insert for the year in question that fits in the specified size of fileofax. Not sure what else I can write other than the delivery was also fine. Hope this meets the Amazon review criteria now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bargain value and works brilliantly, 24 Mar. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The box contained the suction cup wildfire S mounting as well as an in car charger.
My phone is securely held in the cradle and adjustment for rake of the windscreen etc made it easy to set then lock into place.
Suction cup stayed glued to the wind screen for 3.5 hour journey.
One minor concern is the charger has memory effect coiled cabling that means it could be a stretch to connect and I was concerned that the connector might eventually 'pop out' as the cable wanted to coil itself back.
Anyway, it did not turn out to be an issue for me and I do recommend this extra, turning the little wildfire S into an excellent and easily readable SATNAV!
Bargain!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tiny speakers but big sound!, 1 Jan. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I was mildly surprised at how small these little fellows are - I guess they have to be considered as portable if used with a laptop.
They feel solidly built and look very smart with their silver cone finish. As well as a discreet green power LED, there is also a manual volume dial.
AS for the sound, they can go quite loud and stay composed unless you really push them. Ok there isn't masses of bass but they are perfectly listenable.
The only minor criticism is that like many budget speakers, these ones do not appear to be shielded from interference, they will hum and click when your mobile gets a text message and can be affected by other equipment nearby. But hey? for under a tenner - this is nit picking.
I use these with a desktop computer and the USB and audio connector leads are not the longest - so bear this in mind if like me, your PC base is under the desk and some distance from where the speakers are positioned on the desk...

5.0 out of 5 stars Maybe it's got as yet undiscovered hidden charms, 18 Dec. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
23DEC10 UPDATE: Having upgraded to the latest firmware, upstream and downstream speeds have increased! Now 1100/5800.

This is a business class Wireless Router with features and specifications far above your average Home setup.
Having said that, the configuration should be easy and straightforward. Perhaps it is but this eluded me when I was fiddling with it. I have set up many routers, wireless and otherwise in the past and this was one of the most challenging. I have to say that O2 were not overly descriptive on the WAN settings and thanks to other reviewers here, I was able to finally get a working Internet link.
Disappointingly in my case, the throughput is rated as less than the outgoing O2 Thomson bundled effort. I was getting 1100/5500 and that's dropped to 1000/4600 - but as others have said, everything seems to happen faster on the internet side. Pages load quicker and the annoying lag before a page loads has greatly reduced (it was like a delay in getting a name resolved by DNS).
I also had trouble setting up the wireless side, so much so that I was on the point of giving up and sending the device back as DOA. I only have a WEP set up and I KNOW the settings were correct, but I could not get anything to connect. Having left it overnight and come back to it this morning - all seems to be well with the wireless and I have not changed anything. I don't know - maybe it revolved around lease times on DHCP or something. The connections were easier via the handy gigabit ports.
I don't see a particular improvement in speed over the old wireless router either, it is broadly the same wireless speeds throughout the house as the O2 bundled item. However, things may change if I get Wireless N adapters.
Now the unit has settled down and been stable for several hours - it may be that the WAN send/receive also improves as the line attenuates to the differing chipset etc. In any event, I needed a hot spare as I work mostly from home and relegated the O2 router to this duty and will investigate this SOHO router's many extra business class features in the coming weeks. VLANS and QOS are things I never expected to see on a device as affordable as this but they are here...
