Mammoth XT Newtons Cradle Table Top - Novelty Desktop Gift
Mammoth XT Newtons Cradle Table Top - Novelty Desktop Gift
Offered by Innovation UK
Price: £10.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Not mammoth, 10 Jan. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The product name 'Mammoth' does not relate in any way to the product, and being on the small and flimsy side, I would say misleading. The cradle has to be assembled and is only about 4 inches high. So in no way mammoth. Hmmmm

2.0 out of 5 stars Green juice, white smoke, 30 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The title 'fog Juice green smoke machine fluid' is misleading.
The juice is indeed green but as it states on the bottle, 'smoke colour white'
This is just standard smoke fluid, dyed green. Pointless and deceptive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great reliable drive, 1 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is my second and I feel very comfortable with the quality and build.
I would however warn mac users to look into formatting issues with larger drives than this.
I had to return the 3TB model as it would only read as 800gb or force it to partition and run at a lower speed

4.0 out of 5 stars Good all rounder, 15 Nov. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this lens because I needed a lightweight zoom I could easily travel with. Because I use mainly fast prime and pro zoom lenses its taken a while to get used the various cons to this this lens. Namely, very bad vignetting on full zoom and poor gritty bokeh. The upsides are a clean crisp image and only having to change lenses when you need to use short DOF in an image. On full zoom, close range you do get a reasonable separation from the background and you can get very close with this lens, a lot closer than with most long lenses.
Build is good, plastic inner tubes but nice solid metal casing. No problems with the VR, works very well on this lens.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bulky and restrictive, 20 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I fitted this to my D700 and found it far too bulky actually making the camera hard to handle. The covered controls operate satisfactorily but the aperture dial and on off button are hard to operate. Probably great if you don't spend >4 hours a day with it in your hand.
Its obviously a well made quality product (its pretty heavy too..) but trashes nikons ergonomics.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not worth economising on, 9 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've been using the 1.4 G on my D700 for a couple of years and bought this to replace it while its away for repairs.
The bokeh just isn't anyway near as creamy giving softer areas of focus a gritty feel and throwing artificial hard edges into the blur when shooting towards the light.
It is sharp however and probably has a fractionally faster focus but on the whole not worth saving the £100 that it costs to get the G version.
I'll be selling mine as soon as its bigger brother comes back from Mr Nikon

Nice bit of kit. Stops me worrying about how knocked about my drives are getting. Comes with antistatic bags that fit very snugly about the drive. Bought it to use in conjunction with the icy box

3.0 out of 5 stars Won't support a D700 with anything over a 50mm, 17 Jan. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Being an FX body the D700 is heavier than most of the other Nikon DSLR's but I was disappointed with the 'gorrilapods' performance. It starts to slouch if you even stick a 105mm on it. It has been very useful for popping a remote flash on but if you have a pro/semi pro body and are after a lightweight tripod think again.
