5.0 out of 5 stars Finally!, 3 Nov. 2014
This review is from: Zenith: Phase 1 (Hardcover)
Whatever Grant Morrison did after Zenith I am sure was Ok. But this is without a doubt the best thing ever. It hit all the right buttons in the 80s and I reckon the rawness of Steve Yeowells artwork was pretty scary as well.

I am delighted that it has been re-issued and can't wait to get the lot and not consider paying hundreds for an old Titan copy.

Thanks heaps.

I got this because it was free and I am very glad I did as it has worked out as an excellent series and I have really enjoyed all of them. A good character a little bit Spenserish and a little bit Plum, but in a good way without the annoyingness.

I reckon this has massive potential as a really entertaining series and I am looking forward to many more scrapes for Liam and his family and ne'er do well supporting cast.

5.0 out of 5 stars Riproaring read, 11 July 2014

I greatly enjoyed the Court of the Air series due to the detail in the places and environment. That said they are a bit fomulaic. Gifted child, ancient danger balh blah.

In dark service was a great read in a whole new world. Bit of a Ringworld vibe, bit SG and a cracking Roman Empire-esque enemy. I really enjoyed the journey , even if some of the slave bits were a bit whiny.

Definitely worth readind an I am really looking forward to the the next one - plenty more than a trilogies worth I reckon.

Like many other people I did a lot of laughing out loud, in this second outing for the Morning Star in the West Mids. Another excellent read with a solid cast of three dimensional characters and some angels. I predict plenty of Black Country based devilry in the future. Keep them coming!

I am an avid free book downloader. Most are pants and quickly deleted, but every now and then a good one comes along. This is a corker of a book. Very funny a good cast and a good plot, I love the fact that he is a very 'British' Satan. with Hell seeming to be a very 'Carry on' place - lots of being poked in the bottom.

Number two is also top drawer. Get them all.
