5.0 out of 5 stars God I love this show!, 18 May 2012

This is my new favourite TV show. I laugh so much watching it. I'm a massive Friends fan so didn't think I would like it as people were calling it "the new Friends" but it is actually quite different in lots of ways. It's much earthier than Friends and their crazy antics resonate with me, from my old Uni days, in quite a different way. It's also much more situation and character comedy - my friends often quote one liners from Friends but this is not so much of a one liner type of comedy (although Barney has some great lines!). Buy it and watch it over and over, you won't regret it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A fast paced roller coaster thriller..., 16 Aug. 2011
This book has it all... intrigue, sex, violence, love, travel and an awesome tuk tuk chase! Would recommend to all, except for the weak hearted! It grabs hold of you and drags you kicking and screaming to the epilogue...

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fascinating!, 7 April 2010

This is a really easy book to read and I finished it one weekend. Nothing he recommends can be of any harm to anyone, and much of it is just very good sense for all of us. As a breast cancer patient I found it empowering to feel I could do something to aid my own recovery. Only slight criticism is he can be a bit flowery when talking about his own experience, and you get the feeling he would have quite liked to write a novel! But having said that, that same style of writing proves invaluable when he is dealing with some of the more complicated "science stuff", making it very accessible. I have already bought another copy for my cousin, a fellow cancer patient, and my cancer free husband is happily reading my finished copy in the bath!

I am a big Jean Plaidy fan and thoroughly enjoyed this book. I would recommend starting at the beginning of the Plantagenet series though as they are all worth reading and it is nice to have the progression from one King to the next.

This review is from: The White Queen (Hardcover)
As a huge Phillipa Gregory fan who has read all of her books i would put this latest offering up there with "the other Boleyn girl" and "the Queens fool" as an absolute classic. A joy to read I cannot wait for the next installment. Just make sure you have plenty of time when you start reading as it's really hard to put down...

4.0 out of 5 stars Just what you'd expect, 18 Aug. 2009

This is the perfect Lilly Allen album and is just what you'd expect from her. No bum tracks really, which is so rare on albums these days where you get the 2 songs you've heard to death on the radio and then a load of rubbish. This is good right through till the end...
