3.0 out of 5 stars Ok but no mic monitoring, 17 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
They are ok. They provide stereo sound and plug into the Xbox One controller via a cable and stereo headphone adaptor that is fortunately supplied in the box. You will need to do an software update for any controller you have before you use the headset. Sound quality is pretty good and you can adjust game volume and player's voices via the stereo headset adaptor. As other reviewers have mentioned they are quite a tight fit. Good price from amazon though.

My biggest bugbear, which is probably more due to Microsoft rather than Turtlebeach is the lack of mic monitoring facility, ie you don't hear you own voice amplified in the headset and because of the muffling effect of the headphones themselves you can't tell whether you are shouting or whispering. This is a bit disorientating and irritating, especially if you've had this facility on older headsets.

Hopefully this is on a list of future updates and I notice from the Turtlebeach website that they have some Mic Monitoring enabled headsets scheduled for Autumn 2014 release. I don't think the X04 or X07 headsets will ever be mic monitoring enabled as this will require a separate usb cable /adaptor unless Turtlebeach sell this separately. I would imagine they would rather sell you a whole new headset bundle. To be honest I would hold on until proper mic monitoring equipped headphones these are released.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap but very cheaply built., 2 Dec 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Impulse purchase as attracted by the cheap price. Certainly you would never have paid the claimed retail price of £29.99, and more likely to find in a Christmas cracker. Fiddly to insert batteries as the connections inside the torch kept coming apart. Has rough / sharp edges so wouldn't recommend for child use. No batteries included as other have stated. Amazed it actually worked in the end.

The torch itself is just over 3 inches long and just under an inch diametre so indeed pocket size or fit in a lady's handbag. There is 9 little led emitters in the end and the light is quite bright as are most LED torches.

I would probably recommend spending a couple of quid extra and buying a similar sized but slighty better made LED torch from a local supermarket / DIY store where you can actually feel the finished product before purchasing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for greenfly and clearing up 'rust' on Acers., 8 Sep 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Have used these many times over the years. Gets rid of greenfly, blackfly on roses etc and helps clear up symptoms like 'rust' than can affect plants like Acers. Worth investing in a handheld pump spray as well to make up the solution and use in the garden.

After having left some Duracell batteries in the flash unit which had suddenly started to leak and corrode the old one ! I looked in amazon and eBay for replacement. This was half the price someone wanted on eBay, seems to be genuine kit and works fine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent camera. Wifi connectivity feature require a degree to understand though., 8 Sep 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Excellent well built compact camera with lots of nice features. Takes excellent pictures and video.

From a geeky aspect, it's a shame Panasonic couldn't have made the wifi functions somewhat to understand and set up. Have managed to sync to iPad and iPhone to view photos, remote access etc, but as yet can't get it to connect wirelessly to pc to allow download of photos. Far easier just to stick memory card in side of computer to download photos etc. Lumix club software likewise a bit clunky.

3.0 out of 5 stars Webcam for Panasonic tv, 17 Feb 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I upgraded the firmware on my 2011 Panasonic plasma Tv sometime last year and wanted to try a webcam as one of the Apps available was Skype. Given that Microsoft is doing away with Messenger and switching everyone over to Skype I thought it would be worth the longterm investment to get a webcam for the TV.

The webcam is a well made bit of kit, slightly larger than a traditional webcam you'd used on a laptop. It sits neatly on top of the tv. Just plug it in to a USB connection on the back of the tv ad it was instantly recognised and installed itself. Obviously you will need to connect the tv to your router as well for Skype to work in the first place.
Select the Skype app and sign into your Skype account. It did take a few minutes to the pick up all my existing contacts but everything went smoothly. When using, image and sound quality are good.

Using Skype on a PC is probably quicker and easier in most instances, but If you are a regular Skype user and have a compatible TV, then I can recommend this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product. Works fine, 17 Feb 2013

With the ever increasing number of gadgets I needed to connect to my computer I needed to get a USB hub to save me having to unplug and plug in everytime I want to connect something. I went for the 6 USB version as it claimed to have an updated chip set compared to the 4 USB version.

The gadget arrived promptly and came with power adaptor and USB connecting cable. Just plug it in and away to you. When you connect a device, back up drive etc, a blue led lights up showing connection has been made. Now I've got enough USB connections for a back up drive, an iPhone back, cable for downloading photos from digital camera, USB to digital audio connection to an amp, a faster USB network adaptor and USB portable drive.

Well worth the money.
