4.0 out of 5 stars Very Pretty Things, 5 Dec 2013

This is a great overview of the career of an often underated act. My reason for buying it was filling some gaps, as fantastic singles like Rosalyn and Midnight to Six Man are not included in the vinyl edition of their first two albums. The focus here is on their sixties period, their glorious beat and their early psychedelia.

There are several killer songs in this compilation, but you have many reasons to buy something else instead. The sound quality is very poor, two songs (Wig's and Third Booth's) are in the track list, but not on the album, the inner booklet is only a black'n'white six pager, five songs (The Litter's, Kim Fowley's, Gonn's, The Elastic Band's and The Sparkles') are available and much better sounding on Nuggets. The Haunted's 1-2-5 probably received the worst treatment. It is just appalling compared to the versions available on Nuggets II and You Tube. The only consolation is Echo & The Bunnymen's cover of Action Woman.

4.0 out of 5 stars The complete album collection, 11 Dec 2012

The bargain price would be worth paying if only for Souvlaki, the shoegaze dream pop masterpiece of this collection, a must have for people that are into Ride, Lush and My Bloody Valentine. Just for a Day sounds a bit of a too much too soon work, not very focused, while Pygmalion is pure ambient stuff, not surprisingly with cameos by Brian Eno, so be advised.

5.0 out of 5 stars Agile and clear, 5 July 2011
This guide starts as an essential reading for supply chain students, with an agile overview of the key supply chain functions. Plan, Source, Make, Delivery and Return are all explained in their fundamentals, also with the support of a wide range of figures, tables and diagrams.
The second part of the book moves beyond operations and looks at some strategic supply chain issues. In this it is very valuable also for senior supply chain practitioners and general managers who want to develop a strategic understanding of the supply chain.
The authors outline the importance of developing supply chain strategies aligned to corporate strategies, explain how to prepare a people learning and development plan, look at the impact of supply chain activities on financial and customer service indicators, discuss a simple model to plan and execute the outsourcing of warehousing and distribution.
Every chapter is very clear and simple, completed by a practical case study and rich in suggestions for further readings that make it an excellent reference book.
