The Good...the first thing that popped into my head when unwrapping the package was...this thing is TINY!!! The XMI X-mini 2nd generation speaker is much smaller than it appears on Amazon but more importantly, it packs a powerful punch. The speaker comes with a built in volume dial, a 3mm port to connect additional X-mini speakers, a USB cable for recharging and a soft pouch. Unlike, other similar types, the X-mini is completely rechargeable via a USB connection. Now to the sound quality. When size and portability is taken into consideration, the sound quality & loudness is impressive. However it is not the best out there for pure sound quality as that title would go, hands-down to the Altec-Lansing iM237 (though it's more expensive, much bigger and requires 3xAAA batteries). The Other cool features on the X-mini include, twisting the ends extends the speaker to provide extra bass. Twisting the ends back allows for easy storage and secure portability. Grooves underneath the speaker allows the cable to be hidden away for transport. Definitely recommend this speaker for its sheer size, functional portability, good build quality and the smarts to connect additional speakers to create raw thumping sound.

The bad...sound quality diminishes significantly when the volume dial is turned all the way up. There is some distortion but given it is loud at reasonable volumes, there is probably no need to turn the volume all the way up. Again, if you're a sound purist, you should be heading straight for the Altec-Lansing as there's currently nothing on the compact speakers market that can rival its sound quality & build.

The Ugly...the ridiculously short, inconvenient cable which other reviewers have, rightly so, complained about. Surely adding an additional 7-10cm wouldn't be too difficult?

I purchased the Braun Oral-B Triumph 5000 based on:
1)a conscious need to improve our dental care
2)recommendation by a family member who conveniently is a qualified dentist
3)the high number of good reviews
4)the price on Amazon 48.00GBP (at some dept stores it was selling for over 100.00GBP)
5)the quality of the brand

and I have not been disappointed. The unit is of a very high quality with sturdy components.
The cleaning action is surprisingly excellent and having gone electric, I'm afraid I won't ever be going back to manual. The visual timer unit is really not necessary (but is a nice addition to our bathroom as it also shows the time)as the toothbrush does warn you (vibrates) after every 30sec to brush in a different area of your mouth. All in all a great purchase and the best valued Braun Oral-B toothbrush in their cleaning series.

This adaptor can be used for UK appliances in US & Australian power points.
I must admit this is one of the cheapest travel adaptors I have come across online. It is not the highest quality of plastic but you can't expect too much for 97p. The metal prongs are easily turned to use for Australian plugs and the only fault I can give is that the prongs look a bit cheap and not and sturdy as other I have used.
It clearly states on the adaptor that it is for Temporary Use only so there goes my plan to permanently use this for my UK appliances in Australia. A cheap purchase for a no nonsense travel adaptor.

I was slightly sceptical with this purchase but after using it for a few weeks, I am not disappointed. They were charged after delivery and used in our SLR camera. It has been a few weeks and the battery indicator on our camera is still showing full. We previously used the Varta 2000mH batteries and they would usually last no more than 1 trip away (taking about 400 photos). Very happy with these batteries and will definitely look at buying the AAA batteries. The included plastic case is a bonus and very useful for neat storage.

I received the Crabble video stand today and it took no more than 45 seconds to remove the packaging and have it set up. It does what it says on the packaging and I was able to place my iPhone either vertically or horizontally. I can now rest it on the tray table on planes & trains to watch movies. The stand is made of tough but flexible plastic and easily holds the weight of the iPhone without toppling over. It also includes rubber bits on the arms to secure the iPhone in place. A great accessory for the iPhone.

I decided to go with the PhoneDevil Magic Screen Clear Invisible protector based on the overwhelming positive reviews it received. I should also mention this review relates only to the Clear Invisible edition as PhoneDevil also do the Anti-Glare and a newer Privacy screen. The decision to choose the Clear Invisible edition was only because I had not used PhoneDevil before and the obvious, safe choice was the standard clear screen. I can confidently now say I am thoroughly convinced of the quality and would be willing to try the anti glare if the need arises.
I ordered this on Sunday night and PhoneDevil dispatched it immediately, arriving at my place on Tuesday morning - fantastic delivery times without any postage costs either! Upon opening the package I discovered 1xPhoneDevil Screen Protector + 2xHaribo lollies (an unusual but delightful surprise). I read the brief, easy instructions & began the delicate task of applying the screen. The pack included a good quality, soft, lint-free cloth which I used to remove all dirt and marks on the iphone screen. The actual PhoneDevil creen protector was sandwiched between 2 outer protective layers that were removed and discarded in the process. A good tip I found was to borrow clean tweezers (my wife's in this case) to assist in positioning the screen, ensuring that my grubby fingers did not touch any part of the screen. It takes a bit of practice to align the screen perfectly with the iphone but once you've got it right, the rest is easy. I encountered 2 small bubbles which were easily removed by pushing firmly using the included card. Total time spent: 4min
Its been a week and the screen is fantastic. Unless I look carefully I can't even tell its on. No bubbles and importantly there has been no issues with the sensitivity of the iphone interface. A truly great product.

I've been using the Travelproof Universal Power Adaptor for over a year now and there are a couple of annoying things that need mentioning. But first let me say it is well built and sturdy. The plastics used are of good quality and the entire adaptor is encased in a smooth, rubber like padding that is common in many devices found today. It also helps to keep the device cool during use. Its extremely easy to use and the buttons for each country lock securely into place. Have used it in the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia. Unlike the Muji one, it allows the proper 3 prong australian plugs.

Nuisances:
1. Its Size - the Travelproof adaptor is the biggest travel adaptor I've used and therefore not as compact as I would like when travelling light. Its also quite heavy.
2. The adaptor doesnt fit snuggly into the power board or wall plug (for all adaptors). Not sure if its the one I have but there's always a sizeable gap between the wall and the adaptor and due to its size and weight there have been instances where it is not supplying electricity at all because it is hanging off the wall plug (thus requiring a firm push to put it back into place).

I probably would buy a different travel adaptor this time around.

One of the better lens cleaning products on the market today. A must for anyone with a SLR camera but equally useful for those with compact digitals as well.

Pros: durable plastic outer shell. The brush should be used first to remove dust and dirt followed by the cleaning pad. Both provide a good quality clean for lenses, view finders and viewing screens. Extremely portable and compact. The cap and slide out button ensures both cleaning pad and brush are kept clean and hidden while not in use.
Cons: none to mention.

Pros: windshield is perfect for heating during windy conditions, boils 1L water in around 4min, auto ignition, compact & sturdy design, uses the screw on butane gas cylinders that are widely available, heat adjustment dial, easy to setup and use.

Cons: doesn't come with a carry bag or protective case, slight heavier than the Coleman stoves I've used in the past

The SunnGas Stove is perfect for those that require a sturdy, portable stove without the need for matches to heat up meals & water very quickly. The windshield is a must for unpleasant conditions and this is the best outdoor, portable stove I've used so far. The price on Amazon with free delivery is a steal as well.

This boxed set includes all 7 hard cover books in the series, beautifully bound with the original artwork. It arrived on our door step securely packaged and in pristine condition. There is not much to fault with this set and we're certain it will last a long time and hopefully be passed onto our kids and their kids as a must have treasure for anyone that loves reading.
