5.0 out of 5 stars Shaw Gore, 21 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I wish I could say that buying this book was an unfortunate mistake, that I suffer with dyslexia and assumed it were to be about Chess, but I can't.
The long-winded story of Oliver Jefferies' tale of woe, love and the tedium of a game of knights and rooks shall go forever untold unless I tell it myself. This is not Pawn.

Heedless to the warning on the cover my penis read the title and before I had even a chance to think with my other brain and take in the name MATT SHAW,it purchased the ebook and started reading to me in it's slightly falsetto voice.
After the first page or so my penis's,or Trevor as he is fondly called by his friends, voice started to waver and he shriveled up and hasn't been seen since.
Another dose of Shaw Gore.
Try it,buy it,just don't deny it!

An awesome sequel to Whisper. Bray takes the story to new places and I am very interested where it will go next.

It's good now it works, not good they make you leave a review to end a quest though, but I guess that's why it has so many reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars Matt Shaw does what is says on the label, 11 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
`Tortured's Extreme, read the sign on it's door,
Another wicked little gem from the mind of Matt Shaw.
It's not that long but also not that short,
And you're tapped in the head if it doesn't leave you distraught.
Horrific and gruesome,bloody and gory,
Not for the easily offended or fans of Jackanory.

Like a box of assorted chocolates this book is full of surprises but contains what it says on the box. There are soft centres, hard ones to get your teeth stuck into, lighter fluffier ones that will make you smile with devilish glee, sprinkled with decorative swirls of Neil Gaiman and Clive Barker and all wrapped up in the dark bittersweet chocolate of Horror.

5.0 out of 5 stars a haunted house story like no other I've read., 26 Jun 2014

My first 5 star Matt Shaw story. Bravo Sir! Finally someone comes up with a story where the slogan “a haunted house story like no other" wouldn't be overhyped.

5.0 out of 5 stars a tomb by the sea, 3 Jun 2014
This review is from: A Home By The Sea (Kindle Edition)
This is my favourite so far of Craig's stuff. He's brilliant at telling a good horror story and always adds something original that surprises and satisfies. As everything I've read by him so far,I literally had to read it all in one sitting as the git just holds you in suspense till the last sentence. It'll give you at least one sleepless night with the need to finish it. Bloody awesome!

4.0 out of 5 stars dead,boy!, 28 May 2014
Whilst not the most alluring of covers, like a Tesco bag full of expensive Belgian chocolates it contains a veritable feast of treasures. Craig's blunt to the point way of writing is perfect for the images he's portraying and will make you laugh, wince, and cower in all the right places. The opening hours of a virulent outbreak introduces some interesting characters that you can't help but want to know more about. Really enjoyed it.

Many years ago I was an inquisitive teenager. I had grown up with a partial religious background but only to the extent of my parents watching hymn singing on the tv on a Sunday. But I was aware of Christianity and the basics. As I got older and more well read I had harder questions to answer and eventually I made acquaintances with a man who would eventually be a Pastor. He was the one I'd give the countless conundrums to. One such question that never did get answered was that what happens to a man who gets off on v things evil,on inflicting and receiving endless pain and torment?
Chantal answers this question for me and made me glued to this fantastic story to such an extent I swear I never blinked once! This was truly awesome and I can't wait to experience whatever other wonders she will show me!
