5.0 out of 5 stars The down to Earth guide for all us non gardeners!!, 12 May 2010
If you've got a garden- big, small, it doesn't matter, if you're a rubbish gardener like me, if you'd like to do a bit to help the planet, this is the book for you!!! It's simple, informative, easy to understand, entertaining and, thank goodness, pretty short. It's not packed full of technical nonsense and you don't have to be a member of the Percy Thrower Fan Club to get it. In short, brilliant, fun and an inspiring guide to becoming an eco gardener.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lost gem found, 3 Jan 2003
This review is from: Lost Winter's Dream (Audio CD)
Imagine the scene..it's 1967 at Abbey Road and George Martin is sorting out the Sgt Pepper string arrangements. It's snowing outside and in walks a shivering Phil Spector. He's got a pretty girl in tow. She wanders over to the mike and starts to sing a song called "Listen to the Bells Ring". George and Phil look at each other. "Let's do some recording." says Phil......
OK, it didn't happen like this but it could have. Lost Winter's Dream is that kind of album. Perfect pop drawing on classic influences to create a fragile little masterpiece that anyone with an ear for the Beatles, Spector, Brian Wilson, 60's girl groups and Dusty Springfield can't fail to fall in love with.
Superficially, it's an xmas album but don't let that put you off. The songs - mainly written by Ms Mychols - are beautifully crafted throughout and the playing and arrangments primarily by messers Sahanaja and Walusko of Wondermints fame are exemplary, inventive and touching. It's all topped off by Ms. Mychols breathy vocals that manage to sound totally innocent and sexy at the same time.
Apparently it was recorded in the early 90's and has been in hiding since. Lucky for you, this Lost Winter's Dream has finally been found.
