Unreliable delivery & Damaged Item, 18 Oct 2010
City Link couriers are desperately unreliable:
No card left 1st day, I rearranged delivery (for 2 days time) after checking online.
Card left 2nd day stating that re-delivery would be made.
Double checked online where it stated that no re-delivery would be made!.
Amazon contacted them to confirm redelivery.
No re-delivery was made as arranged, they said they never received my request or Amazon's.
So a wasted Friday off work, and a Saturday morning spent making a 50 mile drive to pick it up myself!
I've always had a similar experience with City Link. I think ordering larger items on Amazon just isn't worth the hassle. They offered me a £5 voucher as a goodwill gesture.
TV was badly damaged when I eventually received it, in a similar condition to another reviewer on here. Cracked LCD panel. Shame, it looks like it would be a good looking TV with lots of great features.
Anyway, looks like more waiting in for couriers to come and collect it and then to deliver a replacement in a few days.
Will write a full review if and when this is sorted out.
