5.0 out of 5 stars Girls just wanna have fun!, 8 April 2008
This review is from: St Trinian's [DVD] [2007] (DVD)
This is a stylish, sassy and funny remake of the '60s St Trinian's. It's a film that shows that girls can be just as cool and outrageous as guys! Rupert Everett is fantastic in this film, he and Colin Firth are outstanding and are the perfect partnership. Beware Cheltnam Ladies College... St Trinian's are back!

This is the best thing that Gorillaz have ever done.
Fantastic songs that brings you the best CD in the past two years! I buy lots of music so I speak from knowledge. I definatly recommend this to anyone. Feel Good Inc., Dirty Harry and El Manana are the best songs in a long, long time.
This is the rebirth of Electronica!

The kings of comedy are back! In colour!
Even better.
These are possibly the best Laurel and Hardy episodes (I generally prefer the films). The murder case is so hilarious that I have watched it so often I could recite it to anyone who asks!

Teen Queens and Has-beens (Truth, Dare, Kiss or Promise) (Truth, Dare, Kiss or Promise)
by Cathy Hopkins
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bullying book, 21 Mar 2008
Being not really into these teenage girls' diares type books, I was suprised how good this book was.
It documents the life of teenage girl Lia, 14. She has moved from a London boarding school to live with her family in Cornwall full time and attends the local comprahensive. She's intelligent, eager, happy, pretty and middle-upper class.
But soon she attracts the wrong attention for a set of three 'plastic' girls and finds hereslf utterly miserable. Unsure of who to trust in this gossip fest, she begins to question her best friends loyalty.
This is a fantastic book!

1.0 out of 5 stars Pretty awful!, 20 Mar 2008
This review is from: Chasing Pavements (Audio CD)
I really don't understand what the fuss is about with 'Chasing Pavements'. When there are female singers like Amy Winehouse, KT Tunstall, Shirley Manson and Dolores O'Riordan around we don't need a mediocre tune. We need something from them, and if not them, someone with a good strong and a voice with some personality.
This is the thing. It's a pretty average song; perphaps if better singers made it their own, then it would be a different story. But her voice is (it's got to be said) boring. She isn't a musician, but someone who got lucky. I think that we should celebrate the talented musicians, rather than the choosen.
I do realise that everyone loves this song, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Thank you for reading

4.0 out of 5 stars Stardust, 2 Mar 2008
This review is from: Stardust [DVD] (DVD)
Dispite it's title it isn't as drippy as you might expect.
This is a kind of Romeo/Juiliette type film with a few twists. They could have choosen a slightly better cast with a bit more appeal but, what's done is done.
Stardust has outstripped other get-the-girl fantasys by adding some history, politics, pirates and witches. It's a pretty good film, although there are some scary bits that would proberly give the littles some bad dreams.
It's great for anyone aged 6 - 14. They've done well!
Thanks for reading!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Simulation Game for a Great diving experience!, 8 Jan 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Endless Ocean (Wii) (Video Game)
This is my second game for the Wii and, I've got to say, it's great!
You make your own charater to play in the game. As you progress in-game you unlock new helmets, suits and many other diving items.
Once in the game you start with a tutorial. This is really useful as the instructions in the booklet weren't very clear. Start off moving in different directions and swimming to destinations. To swim in this game you hold down B (the back button), which makes you kick you're legs and start swimming and then to move in directions you move the Wii remote (and this is easier when you move you're whole body too). Once you get the hang of this it becomes easy and you will soon be doing backflips in the water!
Once past the tutorial a lady on your boat will explain to you how everything works and how to feed fish in the sea and discover more and more facts about them, eg stroking fish and being close to them.
You will recieve Mail on your Blackberry telling you what to do next. Whether this is taking a local out for a swim or entertaining tourists or doing research about the sealife. And the more and more you do the more and more you unlock on deck. Searching the sea for hidden artefacts and shipwrecks is very fun. Sail to any part of a vast ocean and explore there and every different part has different fish and sponges. After a while a dolphin starts to follow you around - you can train him!
The graphics are stunning. Absolutly amazing! And the soothing and calming music is very good.
10/10 I garentee you will love this!

2.0 out of 5 stars Horrible and tacky, 31 Dec 2007
This review is from: Emu Women's Chalet Boot (Apparel)
I really wish that these were uggs. Instead they are the cheap, rip-off copies. Not only do they have pointy toes but the inside is not comfy and merely irritates your foot (as the uggs are designed to be worn bare foot, so they have long hair!) but they are fakes.
Actually, the FABRIC specification is wrong, they are wool-lined (as stated on Emu's website). Thank you for reading.
