5.0 out of 5 stars Max Boyce at his best, 3 Feb. 2003
This review is from: EMI Comedy (Audio CD)
Fantastic. Everything about this cd is funny. I have listened to it several times and each times it makes me laugh more. To appreciate it you really need some understanding of rugby of the 70's and the geography of South Wales- but even without this it is still very funny. The sound quality of the recording sometimes isn't up to much but it was recorded live 30 years ago!
Come back Max all is forgiven!
If anyone ever finds a book with all his poems in I'd love to buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful tale of Yorkshire folk, gentle humour., 11 Dec. 2001
This review is from: Over Hill and Dale (Paperback)
I loved this book. It is full of witty and well observed incidents. The characters are nicely described and the scenery......well it makes you want to go. These books are similar to the Herriot series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brillant book if you love Irish characters and dialogue, 11 Dec. 2001
This book is slow to get going but it's worth it. It's full of settings and characters that you would recoqnise if you visit Ireland regularly. Very funny, if sad, description of school run by the Irish brothers.
