1.0 out of 5 stars Please remove this product from sale and give us the option to report offensive items, 8 Oct. 2015
Amazon, please can you put an option on your pages to report items that are offensive or an insult to public decency. That way you may be able to avoid the embarrassment of being associated with products like this.
Domestic abuse is not 'comical'. At least 2 women die each week as the result of domestic violence. Any responsible company would be advocating an end to domestic violence rather than promoting it as a bit of fun.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing like fru-grains, 20 Sept. 2013
This review is from: Prewetts Fru Grains 500g (Misc.)
If you liked Mapleton's Fru-grains, don't bother buying these.
These are gritty little granola with a rather bitter and overwhelming burnt oat taste.
Nothing like the lovely mashed date flavour of proper fru-grains. Gone is the distinctive appearance of rotten wood pieces, which were incredibly crunchy as a snack to nibble on or dissolved beautifully into milk to create a smooth 'date porridge'.

If you like granola, there are many better brands out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lovely book to dip into., 31 Dec. 2011
This review is from: Family Values (Hardcover)
The poems in this book come under a few categories, childhood including a school, concert-goers, and the BBC. Wendy Cope does very clever things with different verse forms, but creates beautifully accessible poems, with her characteristically dry point of view. Highlights include 'Boarders' which includes the lines: "Because some older girls decided/ That I used too many long words./ I soon learned not to./ Look at how I write." The poems about concert goers includes the instantly recognisable 'Cougher'. As one of those people who always have radio 4 going in the background I enjoyed the poems selected from the ABC of the BBC commission, with 'Closedown' evoking a vivid image of the last announcer turning out the lights in the empty building.

5.0 out of 5 stars Only available in French, 31 Dec. 2011
This review is from: Ungerer/Emile (Album)
But luckily very simple French, so I can read it out loud in English without my son noticing any difference.
Usual Tomi Ungerer plot of man and animal making friends and animal saving the day, but still lovely. Phaidon are publishing some of Tomi's back catalogue in English, so more are becoming available.

DeZert Isle
DeZert Isle
by Claude Ponti
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for a 6 year old, 31 Dec. 2011
This review is from: DeZert Isle (Hardcover)
Great illustrations. The story is broken down into small interconnecting stories. I can't wait for more Claude Ponti books to be translated into English, as the beautiful, semi surreal worlds he creates are great. The original French books are full of word play, so translation can't be easy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good beginners beading book, 31 Dec. 2011
This review is from: Beaded Jewellery (Paperback)
This was a present for my mother. A good introduction for novice jewellery makers with clear instructions and lots of great pictures to inspire you. If all you want to do is make necklaces by threading pretty beads, but need some pointers and some inspiration, this is the perfect book for you.

Pasos 1: Spanish Beginner's Course Coursebook (Pasos a First Course Spanish)

3.0 out of 5 stars New cover, old content, 17 May 2011
Look inside this book, and page for page, the content is the same as the previous Pasos 1, 3rd edition. I can only find one thing that has changed; as they describe it: 'integration of print and audio components improves navigability'. This means that it now tells you which cd track accompanies which listening exercise. Helpful if you have the cds.
So if you have the old Pasos 3rd edition, no need to trade up.
