A brilliant book, a unique resource - absolutely love it!, 10 Feb. 2011
This is a great book of Microsoft Excel exercices. I looked for a book like this for ages, it's very hard to find something that actually allows you to practice through exercises and thus to learn and understand what would be otherwise hard to grasp from books and references full of dry theory and illustrations. As the title implies, it contains exercises and exercises only - it's not an Excel guide or a reference, and this was exactly what I needed! The book exceeded my expectations, I'm very impressed. It is very practical and gives you an opportunity to improve your skills through practice - which is the best and easiest way to learn, to sharpen your skills, or to brush up on what you've forgotten. A brilliant and rare resourse, very hard to find a book that has exercises or projects. It's very well written, with consise, clear instructions, real-life exercises, a CD with all the practice files, and I haven't found any mistakes so far. The exercises are from beginner through to an intermediate/advanced level. I've used it with Ms Office 2007, but it can be adapted to other versions of Office. It would suit anyone who wants to learn Excel or to improve their Excel skills. I absolutely love this book, and wish Mark Gillan wrote the same on other Office applications - I'd buy them all if they were like this one. I strongly recommend this book to anyone looking for exercises, projects on Excel, or wishing to learn through a real-life, practical approach. It's the best book on a computer application I've every come across. Fantastic, absolutely love it, thanks a million to the author!!! Anyone who needs to develop their Excel skills should buy it! Thanks again!
