5.0 out of 5 stars I looked at my watch, it doesn't look like Vader time to me!, 27 Sep 2002
Vader is great, why the hell is he not in the WWF still? Anyway, a great ppv that is let down by the shortness of the ppv. All the employees were wearing cowboy hats for the stupid reason that it was called Canadian stampede. New Blackjacks v Godwinns was the best match of the night. If you believed that you need a smack. It was just awful. Trips v Mankind where Mankind had started to be popular and it was right in the middle of their growing feud. This was a good match. Great Sasuke v Taka Michinoku was slow to start but got much better. The crowd took a while to get in the match because it was both of their WWF debuts. Taker v Vader was NOT a classic as it bored me a bit. Vader is cool. But of course, the Hart foundation v Austin, Shamrock, LOD and Goldy was the obvious show stealer with the reversal of popularity and the genuine enthusiasm that made the match the greatest Hart foundation match by far. Get the video for this match alone, I did!

4.0 out of 5 stars Just passable as a four star event. AUSTIN, AUSTIN, AUSTIN!, 27 Sep 2002
The 18 rating was given for the four-team elimination match because it was just so depressing in poorness and had no good teams in it at all. Goldy v Trips was also dreary and slow but had a "TERRI"ble ending for someone. LOL! Owen and Bulldog v Mankind and Vader was good at best, only made good by the Bulldog being the only popular one there (including Owen) and he was just a top wrestler. Rocky v Sultan (a.k.a Fatu or Rikishi) was classically bad because they were both useless back then. Honky Tonk man who was commentating kept saying Sultan would win. COME ON PEOPLE! He had a 27 match-loosing streak for gods sake! It was the biggest losing streak in 97! Nation v Ahmed and LOD is just a pile hilarious hardcore fun! Bret v Austin is the best on the card with a heel and face change in 1 match! Sid v Taker was a stinker of a Wrestlemania event. Sid is useless, plain and simple. HBK commentating and constant beatings to Bret got it just out of the gutter.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good video. Too many matches though, 27 Sep 2002
This is a great look through Survivor Series 98 to Armageddon 99 but isn't long enough. It picks out some of the biggest stories and has loads of compilation videos of rapping up what happened in the main story that they couldn't explain without taking loads of time over it and they are all great. It does concentrate on Austin, Taker, Vinnie Mac, Chyna, Mankind, the Rock and Trips more or less all the time. It does have a lot on the corporation/ministry/corporate ministry angles and in my opinion that is one of the best angles in history. Why the hell was Vinnie the higher power though, SWERVE!
MUST READ
In the corporate Rumble when Brisco, Patterson and Vinnie are in the ring when they think they've won, watch as someone in the crowd throws a lemon at Patt and he kicks it away (watch carefully). I give it 5 stars just for that one, as I couldn't stop laughing. Don't get me wrong as this is still a brilliant video worthy of 5*'s.
I heart wrestling and lemons!

5.0 out of 5 stars A good all-round ppv. Hardcore fans will want!, 26 Sep 2002
I would actually give this 4 stars but gave it 5 to counter the [other] score... Hardcore style fans will love the boiler room brawl on it's own as it's 17 minutes of pain (not counting when they get out of the boiler room). And since when did boiler rooms come with massive danger signs on them? A strong main event, great bit of stand-up from Jerry "The King" Lawler with a funny match and the Bulldog vs Sid is a good match. This was Let down by a slightly poor under card of Owen vs. Savio Vega and Goldy vs Marc Mero as they were slow and plodding matches. The free for all match is easily one of the best as Stone Cold is on top form, and Yokozuna isn't because he fell off the ropes, and the four-corner tag match is okay as well. This is not a waste of money but there are better ppv's out there *cough* Royal Rumble 96, wink. Read my review for it if you want! But the Boiler room brawl is a must for the hardcore fan. The best Free for all ever.
"I heart wrestling!"
