4.0 out of 5 stars Sex in the City...Latin style., 10 Aug 2007
A bright, funny and entertaining story about four women looking for true love. Sighs, sex, secrets, broken hearts, a clash of culture/generation and a bundle of familiar faces including Robert Beltran (Star Trek: Voyager) And an always watchable Scott Bakula (Star Trek: Enterprise & Quantum Leap) playing the love interest to Evelina Fernandez (Andrea) in the leading story.
Different backgrounds...same worries!

5.0 out of 5 stars Disregard at your peril!, 10 Mar 2007
Some will tell you that season 2 is the weakest of the 4 seasons...not so! At the very least you'll need to see the first and last episodes to keep the flow of the story...BUT

Minefield and Dead Stop...the CGI is glorious;

A Night in fun;

Cease Fire...builds on the Andorian relationship;

Future Tense...Dr Who fans,hopefully will smile;

Canamar / Carbon Creek / Catwalk... good ol' stories;

Regeneration...handy if you've seen the 'First Contact' movie but not family were shouting at the screen!

Okay, so they're like all heroes, you know they're going to pull thru' but the journey they take you on is a creative pleasure.

So, why skip this one?

5.0 out of 5 stars Celebrity in a jungle eating spiders...?, 6 Jan 2007
In all honesty, it's a pleasure to watch the collective creativity of this genuinely talented group of craftspeople. The CGI guys, the amazing make-up, the sets, Scott Bakula & gang etc, etc.

They'll tell you that it didn't touch sensitive issues...go find Extinction, Cogenitor, Stigma, Similitude, Dear Doctor, Twilight and others. Watch as a group it will surely stimulate discussion and a few laughs.

They'll tell you that it was prematurely dropped by the studio...face it with today's distractions if a series without sex or grisly gore lasts longer than the 3rd season its doing very well! Anyway, it's an expensive one to make.

On DVD you get the continuity, superior quality extras and a pause button to enjoy the artistry.

Go with the flow, be patient and you'll be drawn into Archer's world...imagination is a wonderful gift.

We're gonna need a bigger screen...and maybe layered sound too...please?

5.0 out of 5 stars Leave them wanting more!, 13 Dec 2006
Considering that various Star Trek outings are there to explain, extend or justify the original Kirk series from 40 years ago could 'Enterprise' ever have lived up to our individual expectations?

Put aside past histories and expectations and enjoy 'Enterprise' for what it is...thoroughly entertaining.

On DVD the story lines run more smoothly, the characterizations are much stronger and it builds nicely through seasons 1-4; with even more great extras and outtakes.

Scott Bakula delivers the goods as the heroic Capt Archer - when they beat him down he jumps back up and spits in their eye! He leads an interesting mixture of crew incl. a Brit' and loathes Vulcans. And the

NX-01...well, she has a character all her own!

Okay, so odd stories are a little thin and the direction occasionally reduces the actors efforts to mere posturing.

But hey! there are 98 episodes with some wonderful verbal rallies and some true moments of cinematic brilliance.

Enjoy it for it's own merit.

Season sad...what will we watch now???
