Fits well, it avoids the annoying current trend of being skinny. Affordable and keeps colour well intact. Would buy another pair.

1.0 out of 5 stars Crap, 19 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Tacky, it was orange and purple as opposed to orange and blue. The case is obviously not made to spec as it does not fit with iPhone charger at the bottom.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfy., 19 Mar 2013

Good pair of shoes, comfy and striking. Not good for wet weather though... so really, a summer pair. The extra plus is the affordability as they're nearly about 50 in High Street shops.

The broom is everything it should be, doesn't even feel fragile (but I still wouldn't dream of pretending to fly on it). It's also a brilliant value for money. The only down point is (due to the fact that the company is based in France) the certificate of authenticity is in French :^P

2.0 out of 5 stars Could've been better, 23 Mar 2010
This review is from: Dasepo Naughty Girls [DVD] (DVD)
As a huge fan of Asian Comedy, this Korean comedy is not one of the best despite its unique and odd plot. This film has its funny moments but for every amusing moment you recieve, you get ten minutes of...basically nothing.. Could've been so so much better. I'd say leave this storyline for the Japanese Cinema.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't expect a proper horror, 1 Dec 2009
This review is from: Hansel And Gretel [DVD] (DVD)
This movie is definitely one of my favourites, the cinematography is absolutely amazing with striking colours and compositions, the actors are also pretty good especially with the children who seem so much more mature than their age. I can't give any plot away but it does revolve around childrens fantasties on how they want to live (imagine cakes for breakfast, christmas everyday etc...) but also wanting it to stay that way, afraid of losing that kids fantasty.

Alot of people diss this movie when they watched it because the fact its Korean and its in the thriller/slightly supernatural genre, they expect scares and gores therefore left feeling pretty dissapointed. There are slightly creepy moments in a very creative way and unlike a lot of movies, it has a proper underlying story and message that leaves you feeling drawn in. I really recommend this movie, its visually enticing, mysterious, a bit creepy but overall, blooming fantastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, 1 Dec 2009
This review is from: Fine, Totally Fine [DVD] (DVD)
As I'm a fan of Japanese Cinema, I'm used to and understand Japanese humour, but this film can be easily understood by the western audience.
I recommend this film a lot, based around three characters, two of which are quite eccentric, Akari is a very (and I mean very) clumsy woman who is on the border of being useless, her actions may seem exaggerated but is highly hilarious. Teruo is also very funny, being obsessed with making his own horror movies and wanting to create the world best haunted house, his "research" is definitely the best moments for him in the movie, don't think I laughed so much for ages! (plus his father, another eccentric character adds more hilarity with his travels)
Hisanobu seems to be the normal one in the film and the most realistic, realising he is nearly 30 and wants to "grow up" to add a bit of moral to the story. It is quite difficult to review the film as giving away any plot would ruin the surprise and humour. But I guess you probably already get the idea it is a weird, wonderful story that leaves you feeling good to the end, I already look forward to watching it again soon!

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good read!, 5 Nov 2009
This review is from: America Unchained (Paperback)
I admit it is not as good as Gormans previous books but it is still very good nonetheless, it becomes quite apparant that Gorman become passionate, almost obssessed with his task with many brick walls to go through threatening his target to meet the East Coast.
But what makes the book really good is the people he meets from Tree House Hotels to a (slightly dodgy) local Halloween School Party. You do really feel for the people in the Mom'n'Pop Garage Stations and cafe as there is more insight of the dedication these people have to the dying industry being eclipsed from the "The Man" My favourite moment his when Gorman and his director heads to Salt Lake City, I won't say why but its very funny and educational!

For those who want to watch the documentary movie as well, I suggest you watch that first because I was expecting a lot of things in the book to be in the movie but they weren't so it led to a bit of a dissapointment so its best to watch that then read the insight, I guess half of the book is what haven't been filmed as its purely the personal insight. Its quite obvious Gorman has matured from "Are You Dave Gorman?" and "Googlewhack" to this book and I highly reccomend it, I finished it within the week!. I just hope he writes another book soon...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read, 21 May 2009
This review is from: Audition (Hardcover)
It does take a little while to get to the point of the story but once you're there, your mind get in a new world of suspicion and suspense, and you're right to feel that way. I am a big fan of Ryu Murakami and this book is definately one of his best.

4.0 out of 5 stars Subtle but enjoyable, 11 April 2009
The book was a lot shorter than I expected it to be but it was an enjoyable read for me on two train journeys (as I finished it already) it is kinda original but subtle throughout, it was quite interesting even though it takes a short while to get to the point, quite hard to give a review as it's hard not to give anything away, but I do reccomend it, not one for younger readers though as it could be quite boring for them. It is a very hopeful novel giving you a good thought and feeling at the end.
