5.0 out of 5 stars Mmmm.. Simpsons World, 24 Oct. 2011
Sure, We've all seen the previous episode guides 'Forever, Beyond Forever etc.' But I think we can all agree that this is a very special item.. The amount of detail that has gone into this book is amazing.

Featuring an enlightening foreword by Matt Groening, a full deconstruction of our favorite family (Highlights - Homer's Job list, Things found in Marge's hair), a two page spread packed with trivia, quotes and characters from every episode season 1 - 20.

Then after the guides themselves, you are faced with charming appendices. There's a full analysis of the opening titles (Season 1, 2 onwards, Post movie, christmas etc.).

Continuing the appendices, there are some great lists.
A list of Couch gags
Homer says 'D'oh!'
Homer says 'Mmm'
First Church of Springfield Marquees
Itchy & Scratchy filmography (And full deconstruction)
A list of Krusty Merchandise
Troy McClure's filmography
Every lyric from every song
Who Does What Voice? (Amazing idea)
A list of Celebrity guest stars
A very thick, detailed index

If you haven't bought it already, You should. Don't let the 'Money for old rope' feeling get you. There's alot of stuff packed in that hasn't been in the previous guides. Price wise, this originally retailed at approx. £100. But if you shop around you can get a bargain. I managed to find mine for £30 brand new on Amazon UK from an individual store (Only to find that another store was selling it for £15 two days later) D'oh!

3.0 out of 5 stars D'oh!, 8 Sept. 2011
As this album highlights the downfall of the Simpsons (Season 11 onward)

..It is not as good as it's predecessors which are MUST HAVE for any fan.

- Songs in the Key of Springfield
- Go Simpsonic with the Simpsons

Album highlights include the title track, and Everybody Hates Ned Flanders.
Nothing else on this compilation comes even close to the other albums material.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice 'N Easy, 27 Oct. 2010
Having learnt tablature and basic playing myself, I was placed straight onto grade 5. Nice and easy songs to play, each piece I would say is diverse, The CD is excellent and the book's note briefings are easy to follow. Cons - A few typos and notes are very small to read.

2.0 out of 5 stars A 'Royle' Flush.. Unnecessary, 13 Jan. 2010
Having been a huge fan of this show for years, I highly anticipated these specials.
2006's Queen of Sheba seemed a great way to end the show on a high, with superb writing and unforgettable moments.
Then two years later we were faced with 'The New Sofa' which was so diverse from the previous special that instead of making me laugh out loud like I used to, I just cringed.

Then this year we were faced with a promising storyline perhaps. Barb' and Jim's golden anniversary. Could have been a superb episode with some favourite characters returning such as Cheryl and Anthony. But I feel that this episode could have just been set at the family household in a party which have proved to be successful after the 'Anthony's Birthday' episode and 'Baby David's Christening'. But it seems that when the Royles leave the house.. Everything goes down hill. From repeatedly singing 'The One show' theme, to unnecessary toilet jokes. They seem to have lost their comedy and realism, and have become traditional over the top, vulgar 'cardboard cutouts' of their previously great selves.

However I did enjoy this episode much more than last year's 'New Sofa' it certainly lacked those comic 'Family Jewels' that once made this sitcom great. I just hope that Caroline and Craig stop regurgitating these poor specials, and return to the half hour, household slot that made this sitcom 'Royle'.

4.0 out of 5 stars I Saw the Photograph(s)....., 6 Dec. 2009
Was browsing for a deck of cards, just for basic fun. When I found these little beauties!
Now as a Beatles fan myself, I jumped at the chance!
They are like no other deck, as these include pictures on every card from the Apple Archive!
Some of which are unseen!
Very strong and durable, with the exception of the box, which is prone to a little wear and tear.

Fab!

4.0 out of 5 stars Och! Brilliant!, 6 Dec. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having purchased the series separately, I decided to treat myself to these specials,
And Boy what a treat it was. There are four episodes all in all, two Christmas and two New Year.
From Winston's live running turkey to Edith and her 'Beautiful' choir audition.
There is something for everyone in this package of comfort and joy, especially for already fans of the show.
However as always with these disks, No Extras, and boy I love me some bonuses.. Hence the missing star.

Though otherwise a great purchase and thoroughly entertaining!
