Well i did what the reviewer Andy said, approached this album from BT with an open mind, but im afraid it was a little to different for my tastes, i havent taken a look at the dvd version of the songs yet and im sure that will be interesting if nothing else.

What i dont understand is that no where on the inlay can i see the words Brian Transeau, yes i know its him but its the first time hes ever created an album without putting his real name to it (rather then just his initails BT) im sure he realised that alot of his fans were not going to like it. Im an old skooler and cant help but prefere his old stuff like flaming june, remember, sunblind and mercury & solace. I do listen to other DJs that have moved on from trance as well like Hybrid, Paul Oakenfold and Gabriel & Dresden but there stuff still has something you can get your teeth into and at least you can play it in the car without the other passengers giving you strange looks.

As some of the other reviewers who felt the same as i do have said, i hope that this isnt the way forward for BT and that this is just a different approach as a one off. Next time im drunk i will come home and listen to this cd to stop the room from spinning, other then that i will just pretend this album was never made so i can keep BT as my favorite american DJ.

1.0 out of 5 stars Certainly not what i expected...., 4 Oct 2006

I usually only rate an album when it's really good or really bad (in my opinion of course :) I'm into all sorts of trance music ranging from the refreshing electric-trance of Ferry Corsten to the talent likes of BT and Tiesto.

The latter of which has shaped the type of music i've listened to over the past few years. A lot of music mixes/compilations contain music that i've just had to run out and buy the full mixes of. The reason i bought J. Holdens album was on the strength of the song "Nothing (93 Returning Mix) which was a colloration with J Thompson. A very melodic but pleasing song found on the Heaven Deep trance essentials album. I was hoping that "At the controls" would contain the same type of music, i was very wrong. If you're into the above DJs i would recomend keeping clear of this album as you will most likely be disapointed. The majority of the songs just don't go anywhere at all and could most likely be created by anyone with a yamaha keyboard if you get my meaning. I'm afraid i'm a bit of a traditionalist where Dance and Trance meet. The mixing is great which doesn't really say much since it really could be the same song pretty much all the way through (especially cd 1)

This is the second album i've ever bought that i know won't grow on me and has been thrown into the bin on the same day (First one was Kosheens - kokopelli) Sorry definately not my taste.

Although this song has been kicking around for 18 months or so it still remains one of my favorite songs to date (mainly for the gabriel & dresden mix)
The female vocals are heavenly and the song just gets better and better as it progress. I first heard this song on a Tiesto remix and just had to get hold of it, unfortuantely at the time this was unavalible from amazon so i had to get a copy else where.

Well youve found it here another Tiesto classic as with all the "In search of Sunrise" additions.
I perfere these to the Magik series mainly because i prefere vocal trance (Unless we are talking about Push). Such classics like Mercury & Solace appear here with Jan Johnstons beautiful Heavenly voice along with Libra - Calling Your Name.
Gouryella and Kamaya Painters are classics that cannot be ignored either.
If you like trance\Tiesto then really you should already have the full collection of "In Search of Sunrise" by now.
Basicly this is as good as it can get

A great double mix cd with some excellent tracks such as conjure ones - tears from the moon and Motorcycle - as the rush comes. Just to name to classic songs. Tiestos mix is his usual perfection.
This guy can do no wrong. I enjoyed so many of the songs here that i spent a fortune in time and money hunting down as many tracks as i could on cd single. Just incase your interested i did a search to find out what "Nyana" means :) Apparently it means "Money" and in my opinion Tiesto deserves to be rich :)

Without doubt Tiesto is my favorite DJ with a past history of excellence. The "Just be" album is no exception.
You have to love the vocal tracks of which Kirsty Hawkshaw (who has the voice of an Angel) appears more then once. Traffic and Adagio for stings are two non-vocal tracks that are just brilliant and the opening few mins of Forever today lead beautifully into the song.
Not forgetting Love comes again with BT this is a fine album, not remixed (thankfully as you can have enough mixes) This should really be in your collection if your a tiesto fan or trance fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars Famous DJs with Sarahs Beautiful Voice, 22 Oct 2004

Basicly sums it up, i cant really add much to what has already been said, but i want this review to be viewed not from a fan of Sarahs music but from the view point of a fan of Vocal Trance. Yet again if your a fan of Sarah Mclachlans music your probably not going to like this one bit, but if you love Delerium - Silence (Tiesto mix) and BT's stuff then you will take to this album. A good illustation would be if you like clannad you probably wont like Chicane's "Saltwater"
As a big fan of Delerium, Conjure One, Tiesto, BT etc... and most other Vocal Trance artists i found the remixes quite refreshing. Forgetting everything you know about Sarah's Music and looking from the point of view of the above artists you will like this album. Fair play to Sarah for wanting to apeal to a wider audience, although most of the mixes are not up to the standard of most of the top vocal trance tracks they still have a nice blend between Ambient and Trance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Its Delerium in a sense :), 22 Oct 2004

Conjure One is Rhys Fulber a former member of Delerium, pretty much as soon as the album is in your CD player you will find this out.
I love all the music by Delerium so i instantly took to it. I mainly bought it for the bonus CD which includes a remix of "Tears from the moon" with sinead o'connor. The mix being Tiestos search of sunrise which totally rocks!!
The bonus CD also includes other more club mixes of some of the tracks. The vocal tracks on the first CD are loveable and very pleasent to the ears and has the Delerium feel about it. Im very interested to see what Conjure One can conjure up in the near future.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Songs of 2004!!, 22 Oct 2004

This review is from: As The Rush Comes (Audio CD)
Motorcycle - As the Rush comes is one of the best vocal trance songs this year if not then maybe it is the best. Gabriel & Dresden are one of the most talented in the business and the "Sweeping Strings" remix happens to be the most popular among trance addicts.
If you like this song then i suggest checking out such other vocal tracks like Way Out West feat Tricia Lee - Mindcirus and Tiesto's - In my memory. Both of which hold their own especially if you seek out the Gabriel & Dresden mixes.
But as for the track in question 5 stars do not do it enough justice :)
