5.0 out of 5 stars Must Buy for experts, 13 Dec 2000
If you've always wondered what all those extra tables and mysterious system databases are in SQL Server, then read this book. It gives clear answers to the most complex of questions and really delves deep to explain everything you always wanted to know about SQL Server, but couldn't find any one to ask. Excellent and a must buy!, 110% required reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must buy if you program with SQL, 13 Dec 2000
If you work with SQL Server then this book is an absolute must, there is no word for it. Don't expect any fancy pictures, just true down-to-earth results, examples (600+ on CD-ROM) and tons of exercises with clear and concise results. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners, but if you work with SQL every day you need this book. There just is nothing that can compare to it, I've looked.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice book for kids into poetry, 13 Dec 2000
Written by one of the best authors of poetry, this book is a good introduction for kids into the works of Ted Hughes; focusing on the animals of this world, rather than machines of iron.

5.0 out of 5 stars The book that made John Carpenter's 'The Thing', 28 Nov 2000
This review is from: Who Goes There? (Hardcover)
If you like scary stories then this is one for you. This book is a collection of 7 re-printed stories written by James W Cambell in the times when he was writing for 'Amazing Stories'. The first one 'Who Goes There' was used by Howard Hawks for the original 'The Thing', but the new John Carpenter version follows this in greater depth and is definately one for sci-fi collectors. One point though, don't read it alone!.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for every web developer, 28 Nov 2000
What this book tries to be is a reference guide, with notes, how-to's, pitfalls and syntax references for all the most common ASP commands in IIS 5 (windows 2000 pro). If you only use IIS 3 or 4 (e.g. NT4) then you may just want to keep with the first edition, but this book is a must if you work with web pages and it's saved my butt on more than one occassion. Best points: cheap, small, well polished and not too complex, providing you with the information you need when you need it. Buy it! (also look at the VBScript Nutshell book, they work well together).
