3.0 out of 5 stars The X is good., 17 Oct 2005
This review is from: X (Audio CD)
The 1st single "Song 4 Lovers" is very good and a change to the old pure poppy r & b songs. "Song 4 Lovers" did well in the charts at peaking at no.5 in the charts. Well done Liberty X!
I bet this will be a great album. I'm going to buy it now.
Only one thing I don't agree with putting four old tracks on it?
What's the point?
11. Being Nobody
12. Got to have Your Love
13. Holding on for You

5.0 out of 5 stars BABY is back all growed up!, 31 Mar 2004
This review is from: Free Me (Audio CD)
I love my Signed LP / Vinyl Album - Don't want to scratch it though!
My favorite solo spice album ever!

1. Free Me
Fresh, funky upbeat - A wicked song for summer days to chill out too. Driving in your car, hair blowing everywhere etc LOL
Fav lyric: Now Free Me
Let me loose to love you
Yeah, how I long to seduce you
2. Maybe
One of the strongest tracks. The badabadada’s are Emma's equivalent
to Kylie's Lalala's. This is a great party track; will get you in the mood! Something everyone will want to dance too.
Fav lyric: Love isn’t funny, when it is burning inside
When all you think of is how to get through the night.
3. I’ll Be There
A very special track close to Emma's heart. All about her being there for her friends (fans) and family. Very sexy Vocals. Love the way it's an upbeat song but also a slow ballad at the start.
Fav lyric: I may have to go in body but my soul is with you still
4. Tomorrow
Sounds bait like Petula Clark's 'Downtown' to me...
I would rather of seen a new track instead of a 'old' b-side.
Fav lyric: Oh-oh, we fly cos together we're stronger when we can touch the sky
5. Breathing
Great intro -reminds me of something can't think what?
A track then you will hum, sing all day long. Very sweet and emotional. If you're in love this one is for you!
Fav lyric: I won't let doubt be the last thing I think about
6. Crickets Sing For Annamaria
By no means my favorite! I find it very odd. This is a song that you will either love or hate. Could grow on me. It's nice to something different for once though. A cover.
Fav lyric: When anyone's in love The crickets sing a happy song
7. No Sign For Life
Would make a great double A-side with 'breathing'. James Bond-esque, sounds the most like a bond theme. One of the best. Turn the music up, kick of ya shoes and dance baby!
Fav lyric: Your gonna, pay for the love that I gave away
Baby it's all that I can do
8. Who The Hell Are You
Another B-side song. Very catchy. I prefer this to 'Tommorow' as it sounds more original and has a more poppy feel. Reminds me of some of the Spice Girls stuff. It's one for all those Independent Women.
Fav lyric: Who the hell are you?
Too cool, you ain't Mr. Right
9. Lay Your Love on Me
Is that Emma on a triangle at the start? hehehe
Written with Cathy Dennis - great songwriter. If you could understand all the lyrics on the first listen it would be better. However saying that still is very good. One that is sure to grow on you.
Fav lyric: When I'm stretched out
My body's on the floor
Lovin the feeling
10. Amazing
Who is Luis Fonsi? Would have worked better with someone more well known in the UK. Emma sounds great. Reminds me of Martine McCutheon's stuff for some reason. Some very live sounding vocals that rock. The tune is abit lame though, although it's suppose to sound dreamy I believe.
Fav lyric: Can you hear me now like I'm whispering
In a voice dipped in honey that's making your heart want to see
11. You Are
Very simple - but simple sometimes works best.
Fav lyric: Cause I love the way that you are (you are)
12. Something So Beautiful
A great way to end a brilliant album!
It really is a special track probably will be the best-unreleased track from the album. Very brilliant vocals. A great way to end it and look forward to the new album.
Fav lyric: Time is proof is that we're not wrong (always been so strong)
Overall: Baby is back where she belongs. In the charts!
