Stableford on Golf: A Classic Mystery Novel
Stableford on Golf: A Classic Mystery Novel

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Whodunit!, 6 Aug 2013
A great whodunit set in England in the 1930s with many allusions to classic murder-puzzles. Written in the style of the Golden Age of detective fiction with a clever plot and typical characters. I loved "Dr. Holmes" especially, a kind of "Watson" for Reef's detective, John Stableford, a professor of Literature.

5.0 out of 5 stars would you believe it?, 7 Sep 2010
An english mystery with a golfing twist set in the 1930s in cornwall. When I read that book, I thought it was a new translation of a golden age detective novel in the style of agatha christie, dorothy l. sayers and michael innes. Very much surprised I learned that the author was born in germany. It is great fun to read with a good ammount of suspense and many motives one loves in whodunnit's. Hope for an other stableford mystery!
