2.0 out of 5 stars Clone of Nokia - BL-5C, 13 July 2011
Shown on the order as Nokia BL-5C; but when the package arrived it turned out to be a clone battery labelled CYT BL-5C with no hologram but the battery packaging is clearly designed to imitate the Nokia packaging.
I've been using one of the betteries for a week now, I've just fully recharged it for the third time and that is just standby mode for the phone with no calls.

3.0 out of 5 stars Useful book, but needs more, 23 Mar 2011
An ok introductory book, but I'm left with the feeling I'd need more information before starting to program in JavaScript. I was a bit disappointed with the Ajax section, it was quite short.
Worth a buy in conjunction with other books.

1.0 out of 5 stars Booker Award warning, 8 Nov 2009
This review is from: The Underground Man (Paperback)
I should have been alerted by the "Shortlisted for the Booker Award" warning on the front cover of The Underground Man. I found the book frightfully boring. Turning the page to read the next was an exercise of extreme will power and self control. Not wishing to inflict it on people browsing in Charity Shops I shall arrange for the safe disposal of this noxious item.

1.0 out of 5 stars A great device but ...., 19 Sep 2009
I bought one of these devices. It travels around the world with me and my laptop computer (XP). Sadly it does not work with Microsoft Vista. Polycom have promised to deliver an updated software driver, but have gone years past their projected date.

I don't know if they are going to fix this in Windows 7, but presently my advices is nice device but don't buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good information source, 9 July 2009
Quite a handy book and well written. It is rather aimed at the USA publishing market, but nevertheless is useful.

5.0 out of 5 stars A useful addition to the bookshelf, 9 July 2009
It is a must for self publishers and is full of ideas. I wish I'd seen it earlier.

4.0 out of 5 stars A useful primer for those wanting an introduction, 25 Sep 2006
A useful book not limited to Architects and Designers. Written by several topic experts there is a certain amount of repetition of common security factors between the different types of organisation/building. A consequence is that the level of detail and useful information differs between the sections.

Whilst the book is clearly aimed at the USA market its concepts could have use elsewhere in the world. The Bibliography at the end of each section is a handy aid to research.

On the whole the book is worth buying and will be one of the reference books on the shelves of my office.

5.0 out of 5 stars My bible!, 6 Oct 2004
This is a really useful book. It is very clear and comprehensive. I've actively used this for a major project.
The technology described is a bit USA centric and is now (Oct 2004) getting a bit dated, so I've just ordered an updated copy.
If you are involved in implementing, specifying or managing a data cabling exercise this book is essential reading. It will help you to avoid mistakes and also save money.
