5.0 out of 5 stars Great wireless charger., 30 Oct 2014

Works great with my Nexus 5. It has an minimum efficiency rating of 72%.

As some have noted it makes a noise when phone gets power. This noise is actually from the phone and now the pad. When my phone is on silent (as it is at work where I have this pad) I get no beeping noises.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, easy install, good price, 29 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this originally to add to the number of monitors on my Windows 8 computer. It has a quick install by Windows (it was auto-detected and auto-installed), accepted the EULA and after a reboot it works.

It has a standard mini USB cable included along with two adapters. By default the device will output DVI with adapters to convert to VGA or HDMI. The device itself is made from plastic but feels solid enough and although it look like it has a small fan vent on the side it remains entirely silent with only a green LED to indicate power.

I have since bought more for Windows 7 PCs which installed in the same manner. It claims to be compatible with any Windows 32/64 from 2000 upwards (2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1), OSX 10.4.11 upwards (tested) and Linux (no specifics mentioned. Will be testing soon).

Honestly, I can't recommend it enough.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun Gift, 2 Feb 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The gift is certainly fun but it does show some of its price once opened. The cup's surface had some slight blemishes and was fairly dusty. Also, the packaging could have been better. The box was quite bashed when it arrived. Thankfully this wasn't a major issue for me but I might have felt bad giving it to someone else in that condition.

Overall however it was worth it and gets quite a few smiles when its used.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good torch, 2 Feb 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Maglite are a well known brand and for good reason. Bought this in the Flash Sale so was even better value than normal. The construction is extremely solid although it does weigh a bit when batteries added. The light is bright and works well. Would have bought 2 if I was allowed.

This torch continues to live up to its name.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great present, 2 Feb 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought in the Amazon Flash Deals and have given as present. Current owner is thrilled and uses them regularly. The stand for them really does make it alot simpler to use.

Be aware these are the biggest ones and as such do take up a lot of space. Make sure you measure the work surface first. There are smaller ones available too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for singing along to, 2 Feb 2013

Got this for the office and was very popular. CD1 has most of the classic upbeat songs, CD2 is more relaxed and CD3 has some of the more unusual but great songs. All in all a fantastic CD and great for listening to around Christmas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was after, 24 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Arrived quickly in flat packed form. Packaging was perfectly suitable for the product and soon as unwrapped it popped up into full form. The lid is 2 sheets loosely fitted across the top opening (some use a zip to seal the top). Realistically it makes very little difference though you will be required to intervene to remove stuff (turning upside down doesn't work so well).

I already own a similar one from another shop that has lasted over 6 years. This one feels very similar in terms of fabric and construction and have no doubts it will last quite a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good alternative grip, 24 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First off, the grip fits snuggly and functions correctly first time. The two battery slots are accessible through a twist lock exposing the battery bays. The batteries fit with no issue.

The grip styling is slightly off from the camera itself and the plastic does feel cheaper but this does not detract from the product. I suspect that dropping onto the grip could cause cracking of the grip but then it is much cheaper than Nikon products and I have no intention of dropping it.

It also has a rubberised grip along the bottom that fits your hand when camera is held sideways. This also allows access to the shutter button which works if you have attached the "remote shutter" cable included in the box. The cable does detract slightly but this is more an issue with the camera than the grip. The cable does well given the options available.

The grip screws onto the bottom of the camera into the tripod slot, and does have its own screw slot underneath so you don't loose out the ability to use tripods. Fitting it is simple, bar removing the battery cover. It does feel that you are going to break it when first attempting it but, as long as done at slight angle, I found it was ok.

Overall I can't chose fault with the product. Great addition and a great price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Matches the price tag, 8 Nov 2012

Taking a similar design to the retired Tokyo Flash watch, it certainly catches peoples attention.

The watch is all metal construction. The top button reveals the time then date on second press, the bottom sets the time (use the bottom to advance through periods and top to increase the number). The lights themselves are bright and obvious. It has been fairly painless to adapt to new method of telling the time, although in the dark the LEDs can be fairly blinding.

The clasp is fairly solid. It completely detaches as required, and then folds over to clip onto itself. That said after around a month, it is noticeably less firm than when new, and has fallen off when force applied to watch in just the right direction. Suspect this can only get worse. May use pliers to attempt to tighten the clasping again.

My only other concern is the buttons themselves. I have found on a number of occasions that the buttons can stick. Results vary from the lights staying on (top button stuck) or it advancing through the different "set" sections (bottom button stuck). Fixing this has basically been done through repeated pressing of buttons n occasional force to side of watch.

Overall, you get what you pay for. The watch is striking and not overly large. It easily passes for a bracelet, and becomes very "cool" in a geeky/techie way. It would also do well for kids. The pins are easy enough to remove with a bit of force so the strap is totally adjustable. It is not nearly as fast to tell the time however, and I never expect it to be. When it dies, I will likely replace it with a more traditional styling, but for ~£20, I'm not going to complain. It is fun.

EDIT: After further ownership, I have found that the buttons can stick causing the watch to change the time of its own accord and the battery has not lasted particularly long. Additionally, the clasp has become less and less reliable with use. I still feel it was fun product and for the time I was using it I certainly enjoyed it. However I have to say it is definitely more of a fun gadget rather than a long term replacement of other watches.
