Fantastic for use in the field. Used on a secondary school field trip. Comments on how rare species were was very useful in the field for my students to confirm their suspicions. Laminated so excellent for use in the field

Another really helpful guide for the field - even if you only use it to give you a rough ID to check against more detailed descriptions of species. The groupings according to colour were very useful when catching live specimens. I used it as part of a secondary school field trip. Would have been useful to see a view of the wings closed for more species but that is being picky

Used for a school survey. Secondary school students found it simple and easy to use. A great introduction to identification for beginners looking at any insects. Photos of pupae very useful in the field

I used this guide to mainly ID different Stenus species and found it really helpful and more detailed than other keys when I first started identifying staphs. I have used it with a group of secondary school students who could access it with a little support.
