Misled by author name and thought I was buying a book by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child.

A quick, easy read with an increasingly implausible storyline, though I did finish the book. Thought it was not up to their usual standard until I realised it was someone called Preston Child, presumably trying to capture some of the pair's readership. Won't be reading another.

Only Ever Yours YA edition
Only Ever Yours YA edition

5.0 out of 5 stars Must-read, 14 July 2014
I'm still thinking about it days after I finished. It's a fresher, more modern take on themes similar to Margaret Atwood's Handmaid's Tale. A damning indictment on the way modern media pushes an unrealistic ideal of female beauty on us.

Really enjoying the book - but have found pages repeated in the Kindle edition around the 75% with paragraphs not seeming to follow each other.

3.0 out of 5 stars Images removed, 4 Nov. 2013
I've only read 20% of the book and am quite disappointed to find the images are removed. Having read a few reviews here, I see this has been a problem for a few years and Amazon has not fixed it. Disappointing. Though I'm enjoying the box, I'd be disinclined to read the rest of my Kindle for fear of missing out on more illustrations.

Murder Is Easy (Agatha Christie Collection)

3.0 out of 5 stars Murder is Easy, 21 July 2004
This is a good standard murder mystery by Agatha Christie. It does not feature any of her famous investigators like Poirot or Miss Marple so if you are used to reading those ones, it's a bit of letdown. However, the story is good, interesting characters and plenty of possibility. It goes into the occult a bit - A.C often wrote about things in the news at the time or in her life. This book was written 1938 but it stands up well and isn't too dated.
