Love this song, and even better it's raising money for a good cause, one that's very close to her heart.

1.0 out of 5 stars Overated., 23 Mar. 2014
If Martin Scorsese thinks there are no more classics to me made in cinema after seeing this, then he's more than a little deluded, in fact after watching it on tv today, I couldn't help laughing at how bad and amateurish it is, from Roger Livesey's terrible Scottish accent, to the terrible back projections when the characters are floundering at sea, you could almost picture the buckets of water being thrown at them off camera.
I'm supposing if it hadn't had Powell and Pressburger's names attached to it, he and other so called critics of cinema wouldn't have given this a second look, it doesn't even come close to A Matter of Life And Death, a true five star classic, that deserves the praise.
In total agreement with another review on here. who summed it up perfectly...... complete muddled nonsense.

Like one reviewer said, can't think of a better, and sunnier start to the day, watching this and Frasier on Channel 4, but couldn't help noticing for some reason they skipped a few episodes of Raymond, so it's great to be able to catch up on these dvd's, loving it all over again, and nice to have the added extras as well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Back and Boring, 9 Dec. 2013
This review is from: Since I Saw You Last (Audio CD)
As a fan of Take That second time around I was curious to see what Gary would come up with for his return solo project, but what a disappointment, it's as if he's picked up where he left off last time around, and hearing the bland lead single would only seem to confirm that.
He should really stick to writing and recording with the rest of TT, because they definitely lend that extra magic ingredient that's missing here, a shame really, but hoping for better things to come when the band reunite again, it's been too long.

One of Kylie's best 'rare' tracks, not what you'd expect from her, but I love it, she should definitely compose more.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Wasted Opportunity, 11 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Audrey in Rome (Hardcover)
While the premise for this book is a lovely idea, the outcome is somewhat disappointing, as the first reviewer said, most of the images are pretty much repeats of Audrey walking her dogs around Rome, there are very few film stills at all, which considering one of Audrey's most famous movies is Roman Holiday, I was expecting to see more behind the scenes images from that at least, instead of just the three of four included.
A few colour images would have been welcome too, and aside from that the book looks like it was done pretty much on the cheap, printed on inferior quality paper, some of the pictures have a grainy effect too.
I guess when you're spoilt for so many wonderful books on Audrey, the last one I purchased about her is the magnificent tome 'AUDREY The 60's', which is superior to this one in every way, not a grainy or wasted image to be seen anywhere.
It's a shame her younger son couldn't have done a better job with this latest one.

I'm always on the look out for new books on Audrey Hepburn, and this has to be one of the best, a beautiful tome packed with page after page of stunning images, quite a few I hadn't come across before.
Big kudos to the author's for putting this magnificent collection together.

You couldn't do better than this beautiful book to celebrate 50 years of Bond, and even more special to get the views and thoughts from possibly the wittiest Bond of all Sir Roger, as mentioned in the previous reviews it's packed with some gorgeous stills too, some of them new to me.

I'll take issue with Graham Harter that a kindle version is better than the printed one, as far as I'm concerned that'll never be the case, books like these are wasted on a puny screen, and also he should have checked the price on here, a full eleven pounds fifty cheaper than the original price.
And as a Christmas present for a friend, I can't think of anything more disappointing than simply downloading a book, I know I'll take more pleasure in gift wrapping it myself, and I know they'll get more pleaure from it too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning!!, 14 Aug. 2012
One of the best Marilyn books I've bought, beautifully presented, page after glossy page of stunning photos, many not seen before, portraits, screenshots and stills from most of Marilyn's movies, and many, many more, couldn't recommend it more highly.
