Apple Watch Band, Oittm 42mm Stainless Steel Metal Replacement Strap Classic Apple iWatch Wrist Band with Double Button Folding Clasp for Apple Watch (42mm, Space Grey)

3.0 out of 5 stars Good strap, but the link removal tool is utterly useless., 16 Jan. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I'll get the bad out of the way: the link removal tool is absolutely useless. Good luck not snapping the plastic body / bending the ejector pin whilst trying to resize your strap. I ended up having to use a small nail and a hammer to get the links out, which is mental.

Fortunately, the band itself – now that I have it sized properly – seems decent enough and has a good heft to it. Certainly a good option for those wanting a cheaper option to Apple's – admittedly, much nicer (but far more expensive) – stainless steel link strap.

pro|SERIES" Skype Mobility Headset
pro|SERIES" Skype Mobility Headset

4.0 out of 5 stars Good headset, 11 Jun. 2007
I bought this headset because I wanted a small, compact headset to go with my laptop. It does that well; it's light and small and easy to store.

The sound quality is good. The ear piece is a little big for the inside of my ears so it takes a bit of fidgeting to get it comfy, but once I do it's fine and I can hardly tell it's there.

I had to enable mic boost from the windows control panel to acheive enough sensitivity to be able to be heard when talking at a normal / quiet volume, but since I had done this the sound level is just right for those I'm talking to.

Overall, a good headset. Mic could be a little more sensitive and the ear piece could be a little more comfortable, but they're only minor nags and overall this is a great, affordable piece of kit.

Despite not having much, I love anime. If I ever see an anime DVD that looks good and I have some spare cash, I always buy it; like a treat sort of thing,

Now when I bought this DVD, i know it would be good. The blurb intrigued me, and the DVD sounded very interesting. So I bought it, and I watched it as soon as I got home; all 6 episodes. They were all really entertaining and funny, and in some cases, rather touching.

I don't want to spoil the story, and there's plenty of information on it's product page on Amazon, but if you're up for a sort of fun anime series, this is the one to go for.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointing, 24 Nov. 2006
This review is from: Killzone (PS2) (Video Game)
There was so much hype around this game. It was one of the most anticipated PS2 games ever; but when it finally came, I found it quite an anti climax.

I bought it mainly for the online mode, which is littered with bugs and glitches. Games in the lobby dissapeer once one game has been played, so if you want to play a few games with your mates, you have to keep creating new rooms. The ranking system seems OK I guess; it works anyway. The number of maps in the game isn't huge, but there's enough to keep you entertained for a while. A patch was released about half a year ago now to improve online play, but it made it worse. More lag, more new glitches, it's horrible.

The single player is probably worth the buy at Amazon's price. It's pretty engaging and keeps you playing. I didn't play it too much but from what I saw it looked like a good campaign.

For the price it is now, it's worth it. It definately wasn't worth the £39.99 when it first launched.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, 24 Nov. 2006
I've been studying Japanese for a few years now, and I bought this book the other day from my local book store (for £9.99; should have gone to Amazon). It's generally really good, I've already learnt lots of new little things I didn't know before, and it's definately a good book for me to read when I'm bored, because it's really interesting to read.

One little gripe I do have with it is the romaji it uses. It uses kana and kanji too, but for people who can't read japanese characters, they are forced to read the romaji, which is a little odd. It uses what many text books use; the line above the vowel if it's length is doubled, which I personally don't like; I prefer a 'u' after the vowel being lengthened (eg. otousan, not otôsan). Also, for words that contain glotal pauses (like docchi for example), they replace the first letter of the pause with 't' (eg. docchi, would be dotchi).

Apart from the few little gripes, this book in generally very good, and an invaluable resource for intermediate learners of Japanese.

Sonic N (N-Gage)

2.0 out of 5 stars Hmmmm..., 24 Jan. 2004
This review is from: Sonic N (N-Gage) (Video Game)
Sonic has always been popular since its debut in 1991. Everyone just loved the cute little spikey blue hedgehog. But this N-Gage port of Sonic Advance doesnt do the energetic lil critter any justice atall.
When you load up the game for the first time, you'll notice (if you played Sonic Advance on the GBA) that 2 game modes have gone. The Chao mode and the multiplayer mode. Chao mode is a little mini game that was a bit of fun. The multiplayer aspect being took out of the N-Gage version is a shock, as the main point of N-Gage games is to have powerful bluetooth multiplayer. Shame.
The main game takes you throguh 6 zones, each containing 2 levels and an end of zone boss. There are four characters to choose from (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy) and the characters really acts as the games 4 save files. The game is relativly easy itself, as I completed it in a few days. After completing it with one character, you could start again with a different character. Bbbbbbbooooooorrrrrriiiiiinnnnnnggggg.
Graphics. Now I know that Sonic would lose it's reputation if it turned 3D, but this game does not push the N-Gages grahical capibilities atall. Not good.
The sound is quite poor in quality but this is the only N-Gage game I have played so I can't compare it to others. The game has some kool tunes but the hissing sound in the background makes it less enjoyable.
Anyway, enough of the Cons, lets move onto pros. There are some clever ideas in Sonic N. Like booster pads, loops, no gravity etc., but thats all been seen before (Sonic Advance).

Overall a below average game, and there is absolutly no point in getting this game if you already own it on GBA. But for die-hard Sonic fans, it may just be worth the purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars Stunning, 6 Nov. 2003
Firstly, this is the best game I have ever played. It has a great storyline and amazing gameplay, and good graphics.
I'm not gonna spoil the storyline for you and tell you about the devastating event that starts about 30 mins into the game. This incident really keeps you playing and is creepy and really makes the game stand out.
The game although dated (1999) is still amazing to play and keeps you going plus you get 2 expansions and the hugely popular multiplayer experience 'Counter Strike' in this deal.
Graphics: 2/5 - The graphics were way ahead of its time in 1999, and lack the texture and smoothness of the modern games. But still the graphics are good and easy to recognize.
Storyline: 5/5 - This is the part of the game that keeps you playing. Stunning.
Gameplay: 4/5 - Easy controls, great weapons, realistic AI, good puzzles. Amazing.
Longivity: 5/5 - Still playing after 4 months and still loving it. Utterly great.
Overall: 4/5 - Amazing. The best game I've played ever. It's only let down is the graphics as they are a little dated. The system specs are very low but still give a huge amount of fun. There is a sequel comeing out next year to get hugely excited about to. You also get the expansions. On one you are plaing the game again but as a different character as from their perspective of the adventure. On the other you are a scientist trying to kill Gordon Freeman (the main character). Utterly fantastic and brilliant. Buy it NOW!

1.0 out of 5 stars the jungle may be massive but it is certainly not wicked, 18 Sept. 2003
This review is from: Jungle Book 2 (Video Game)
I haven`t seen Jungle Book 2 the movie and suddenly i don`t want to-assuming the game is a faithfull translation, Mowgli runs around in the forest solving easy tile-shifting puzzles for animals.
Run into a beast and the screen fuzzes out like Pokemon. Then the action heats up. Shift the tiles! line up the cherries! Oh my lord we have only got 45 seconds to do it If you can take anymore exitement, There are also mini-games. Bash all the buttons to stop the snakle hypnotising you. You know- the one with the funny eyes.Tile-shifting maniacs who also like Disney`s the Jungle Book will be glued to their GBA`s.Chances are that it is not you. It`s certainly not me.

4.0 out of 5 stars sam fisher is up to more stealthy tricks, 18 Sept. 2003
This review is from: Splinter Cell (GBA) (Video Game)
the handheld versioin of splinter cell follows the same story line, which involves fishers investigation into the activitys of russian leader, presidant Nikoladze, after the dissapearance of two undercover agents.
The game starts off basic, with no soldiers to worry about and appears to be a lazy 2D platformer. But delve a little deeper and the stealth elements emerge. If guards see you, they will either attack or run off to trigger the alarms. fail to deactivate them within about 10 seconds and your mission is over.
You can get past guards in a number of ways: hide in dark corners until they pass; use a Smoke Grenade and sneak by; knock them out;or go all-out aggresive and pop a cap on their head. You can use night vision and infared goggles,to - just like in the GameCube game.
And by connecting this up to the home-console version of splinter cell you can download 5 extra levels to the GBA on top of the 11 already in the game. Splinter cell is a great-looking,highly playable game and most of all, a worthy handheld version of it`s little brother.

3.0 out of 5 stars Turn based luck/strategy card game, 18 Sept. 2003
No storyline, no platform jumping, no shooting, no puzzles, but if it's red hot Yu-Gi-Oh card battling action you're looking for, there Stairway To The Destined Duel, is just about the most definate game you could wish for.
You're job is to create a deck full of vicious monsters, cool magic attacks and sneaky traps and then try to outwit your opponent on the field of battle. There are around 1000 cards in the game and you must work you're way across the country, taking on all corners until you emerge victorius. It's perfect for Yu-Gi-Oh fans, but if youre new to the game, this may be a bit daunting.
