5.0 out of 5 stars You will be delighted when you buy this, 20 Aug 2009
A superb book.Very little overlap from her other titles. The content is varied and interesting.I think it will suit all levels of ability. The instruction is matchless, easy to follow, intelligent and a joy to read and follow.I like the way that the basic strokes are explained across the different media. The hints and tips are timely and useful. The diversity of subject matter and suggestions for your own subjects are thoughtful. This is excellent value for money and I am sure that you will be as enthusiastic and riveted as I am.Do not dither!Buy one for yourself and one for your friend,it is going to be a classic!

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent for learning the basics, 27 Jun 2009
I think this will suit absolute beginners and those with a little experience. Ian is gentle, thoughtful and thorough. He explains the basics and then cracks on with a painting. There is lots to do and you will soon be doing your own work. Ian exudes confidence, you can do it! The 3 dvds in this pack equal superb value for money, Town House films are always great. If you can only buy one instructional dvd then make it this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Title and A First Class Book, 26 Feb 2004
This well written, nicely illustrated book will leave you with no doubts as to how to go about buying a rigid heddle, setting it up and weaving your own brilliant creations. It is one of the best books I have bought and gave me plenty of confidence to try many of the projects within. It covers plain and fancy weaves, how to plan your own project, information about yarns, troubleshooting guide, glossary and bibliography. There is plenty to interest everyone in the projects - runner, cushion cover, shawl, bags, afghan, tops and more.
