South Riding

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it, 21 Aug 2011
This review is from: South Riding (Kindle Edition)
Loved it. Had a minor issue with remembering all the characters, but that has more to do with my own failings as a reader. So much better than the television series, which I had no real problem with, and introduced a whole new topics of conversation about life in Yorkshire with older relatives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Disguise, 21 Aug 2011
Although it can hardly be used to protect my Kindle from all bumps, it works wonderfully in disguising it and I've had many comments while on the train as to how 'jazzy' it now is.

I just hope Gelaskins bring out a clear matt shield for the screen

4.0 out of 5 stars Very tight, 21 Aug 2011
Primarily brought these goggles as they are the ones I had as a child (or very similar) they fit really well, were delivered very quickly and come with a spare nose piece and in a very practical case.

They fit very tightly and succeed in not letting in any water for a full hours swim, however be aware that they may leave you with a slight mark around your eyes, so don't go to any meetings straight after leaving the pool as it takes a little while to fade.

2.0 out of 5 stars Was OK, 21 Aug 2011
I read this book in one sitting, cover to cover and found that it went over the obvious while acting as an marketing tool for smashwords it's self rather than a stand alone guide. I understand the position of the author as the founder, but I would have appreciated at least some effort to appear relevant to those on the outside.

The main good point however is that as an ebook Coker makes clear that he will be updating the title as things develop and he gains ideas meaning the material in many ways cannot be considered static.
