4.0 out of 5 stars A good introduction to Situationism and its development, 15 Nov 2010
This books really helped me get a broader understanding of how Situationism originated in Parisian history and what the cultural studies that they explored involved. It is great for references, as the author provides a great deal of insight into various individuals that propagated Situationism and the roles each of them played, including their own personal history. As such, this text provides a means for those new to such theories, to attain a sufficient amount of initial background knowledge for most essays, before embarking upon the denser writings, such as the text 'Guy Debord and the Situationist International' by Tom McDonough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sound at a decent price, 27 Sep 2010
These headphones are a great compliment to my time spent studying. The bass is strong though not too boomy,
and there are some great high key tones and middle tones.

The closed back design certainly shows, muffling any external sound and minimizes the interference, one thing that
makes a difference for those who have had open back speakers and tried listening to music at the train station.

Very comfortable and fits snug on my head, with adjustable head pieces that can be swiveled slightly for best fitting.
Much more comfortable than the later HD 204 model I found.

Perhaps not likely to compete against the more high end DJ headphones in terms of quality, but you certainly get
enough bang for your buck here.

Delivery was satisfactory, though I did make the order using the Amazon Prime trial, which promised a one day delivery.
I did however order on a thursday night, thus that may have contributed to why I received them on the monday. Not that
this was any major problem, it still came well intact and with suitable packaging.

Sennheiser has yet to let me down, there is a reason why they are such a recognized audio manufacturer.

5.0 out of 5 stars An advanced critique of modern society and its various attributes and historical implications., 27 Sep 2010
The 12th volume of Freud's collected works, this is well worth a read for those who are interested in studying sociology or psychology.
Linguistically it is fairly dense at times, at least for those who have not read critical texts to this caliber before hand.

I personally found his part scientist part sociologist viewpoint to be very effective and instigates an informative critique of the society
that we in the west call home, perhaps hitherto taking for granted, primarily from an objective perspective and thus allows for you to
chew on the meal that he outs forward for you to digest...

Freud has helped me to understand and appreciate a great deal more about the way that we as human beings have operated, in a historical
and modern day reflection.

One of the most worthwhile books I have read on this subject, certainly giving justice to the claim of Freud being the monumental critical figure
that he was and remains within literature.

Recommended.
