4.0 out of 5 stars Truly Moving If A Little Slow In The Middle..., 31 Oct. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Make no mistake The Legend of Korra Book 2: Spirits, follows the same formula as Book 1 (Season 1) and the series before it, The Last Airbender. 'Spirits' improves in almost every way since Book 1; the story has increased in quality, the animation has been completely stepped up (conflict and battles are more streamlined than before), the character variety has been increased (get ready for some new, very interesting characters and villians). And, just incase the dvd cover or title didnt already give it away, Book 2 is all about Spirits, and the story becomes slightly more abstract but with it, a number of events that are great to watch and behold as a whole. If 'Spirits' was lacking in any way it has to be in consitancy. In a similar way to Book 1: Air were the story plot took its time to progress; Book 2: Spirits, gets moving pritty quickly and then..... its slows down a little too much. Its not mind-boggle-ingly slow but it is at a slow pase than its beginning episodes. Dont let this put you off in any way however. Spirits is a great journey you have to watch. Plus!!! This is 14 episodes; this is the longest season of The Legend of Korra!

4.0 out of 5 stars Thanks FOX ;¨), 27 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
After being released cheaply in the region 1, it seemed a region 2 dvd release of A.D. (American Dad) would never happen, but I'm happy to be proved wrong by FOX International. It may be releasing a little later in the year than usual; (usually released in the summer) it doesnt matter, at least it's being released. Another great season of American Dad fun, dark comedy, and crazy fantasy that just works. Keep the season releases of A.D. dvd coming FOX International. And on a slightly different note that does relate; of all A.D's DVD releases BEST COVER ART EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars An Interesting Thrilling Drama, 7 April 2014
Following a lot of thrilling dramas these days, Helix provides a thrilling drama with moments of light horror; I say 'light horror' because I dont think it'll scare the pants off you, but it has moments were you may go "Agghh! What the f***", but thats all part of Helix. The best and most simplist way to explain what Helix is focused around, I think, its concept and focus is around an infected outburst, slowly turning people insane in the middle of nowhere.... simple enough right?

Well......... yeah it is, just dont exspect anything shickingly amazing; its a good drama but it does not seem Helix will be one of those dramas to have longevity; its all a bit samey. Same focus, same people decreasing, same infected growing, same small enviroment not changing. Its worth the watch though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Family Guy Season 12 - The Most Random Season (Yet), 9 Aug. 2013
This review is from: Family Guy - Season 12 [DVD] (DVD)
Season 12 is where Family Guy decided to be a little more cretive in its stories and plots. Something that makes Season 12 a very bizzare, slightly random, but very creative season. From Peter winning the lottery, Brain (for some reason) taking mushrooms, Joe's son returning, Brain & Stewie going back to the pilot, Ricky Gervais appearing as a fish, to Family Guy appearing as a British series.

It's certianly a season worth watching, but truthfully, you proberly wont like every episode. Their's some moments were you will think, What?, Why?, How come? But theirs also episodes were a good morral or meaning is given.

I must say, though I like the certain episode were the Griffins appear British, I much prefer the American cover.
In all, hey, at least Season 12 is been released. More Family Guy, isn't a bad thing.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Decent French-American Mysterious Crime/Thriller, 30 Jun. 2013
This review is from: Jo [DVD] (DVD)
Its good to see that not all mystery, crime thriller's need to come out from America to be good. This French-American(ish) crime thriller is a good effort from the setting of little old Paris. Jo is something you want to get into, if you're a lover of crime, mystery, thrillers that is. It does take a few episodes to get into this, mainly due to its style but more so because of Jean Reno, I do like the guy, he's a great french actor, and in its routes the show is set in France, but in the beginning you will find it hard to understand Jean Reno's character Jo. After you get use to Jo's accsent, the show is fantastic. But by the time you enjoy this, its over. Just 8 episodes is not enough for a show this interesting.

This show's been a big hit in Europe and yet the shows original broadcaster in France cancelled it. I do hope to see a second season in the future with a better network. Fox UK?

3.0 out of 5 stars BEWARE: Of The DVD Release, 28 Jun. 2013
Season 8 of American Dad is finally avalible on DVD, even though the UK maybe the last to see this season broadcast, we are the first to get the dvd set. A great season with a sweet first episode featuring 'Cee Lo Green'. But BEWARE......

Though the season might be great, the dvd release has one big bug burner. For some reason (and this problem is also on the dvd release on The Cleveland Show: Season 2) Fox entertianment decided to make the dvd format as 'region 2' which the UK is.... nothing wrong their, but the picture format is NTSC (used in 'region 1'), instead of PAL (used in 'region 2/4'). What does this mean? Its means unless your dvd player and TV except the NTSC format, your going to have a dvd collection, not worth playing, because your tv image will be either black & white or fuzy. Even if your TV and dvd player excepts the NTSC format, the picture itself may not be perfect, there may still be fuzy, moving still lines.

The best way to resolve this as best as posibble, is to have a HDMi cable from your dvd player to your tv. Its a pain and annoying that this format looks to continue in the fox dvd lineups. That is when their released.

Digimon Gold (OST)
Digimon Gold (OST)
Price: £7.82

2.0 out of 5 stars Not What You Think, 16 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Digimon Gold (OST) (Audio CD)
This is Germanys release of Digimon, and includes German songs, Japanese songs and just 3 english tracks all of which appear on the Digimon movie soundtrack. If your a Digimon collector, theirs not much exclusives with this release. If bought new you do recive a 'digimon card' but unless you can speak German you wont be able to understand a single word (apart from Digimon). Plus their the same Digimon cards that you use to get in packs of 5 in the UK years ago for £1.00. As for exclusive artwork in the booklet it fails anything new or even interesting. Images are pixely and one piece of the artwork looks like its been drawn by a 3 year old, its not even original artwork. The only exclusive or decent artwork is the one which you see above, 'the cover', if bought new you do get a 3D version of the image which is.... o.k. Overall, if you know German, buy it, if anything else, dont bother. Otherwise your buying a large paperwait.

3.0 out of 5 stars Deluxe Edition Tracks Are The Best Thing On This Album, 16 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I find Ting Tings' album Sounds From Nowheresville an odd one. With the exception of Standard track 'Hang It Up' the rest of the standard tracks lack much likability, some sound too shout-out-like. Its not untill you start to listen to the Deluxe Edition tracks that you start to forgive the albums sound. Usually remixes are rather poor on Deluxe edition album releases, but these are the first that actually work well.
Overall the main album fails to provide really any interesting tracks, the deluxe tracks provide some interesting mixes and demos but doesnt save the albums release as a whole.

2.0 out of 5 stars A Good Release Idea But Wrong Episodes Deision, 11 Nov. 2012
This review is from: The Best of Family Guy [DVD] (DVD)
The Best Of Family Guy is a good idea for a dvd release, considering that BBC3 (Family Guy's UK origin channel) revealed the top 10 Family Guy episodes earlier in the same year, and I may add, 10 great episodes voted by Family Guy fans.
But for some reason this got lost in the proccessing of the dvd. As its Seth's fav. episodes with FamilyGuy's UK facebook deciding one choice.
The choices are mixed, 50% are good, 50% are pointless. When releasing a dvd like this, it should be entirly up to the fans of the show. It would of been a much better release if Family Guys Best Freaking Episodes were released as their were much better desions. Bonus episode; Seahorse Shelly is a good addition, but it doesn't save the dvd's release. Not the best dvd's release, could of been a lot better. If you have previous releases don't bother with this, if you're new to Family Guy, give it a go, you cant go wrong for less than £15.
