5.0 out of 5 stars Timeless, 15 May 2006
This review is from: Cowboys From Hell (Audio CD)
This album is truely incredible. Right from the start to the very last note you will get pulled in. This album is certainly by no means short of amazing riffs, solos and all round great guitar playing. Vocaly Phil is at his most versatile pulling off power metal type vocals to rough and gritty styles simular to that of the later part of their career. The drums are pounding and well used as well as basslines that complemet all of the guitar work perfectly. This is one of those rare CD's you will buy that will be timeless as it can be played over and over again and be just as enjoyable as the first time you heard it. If you like metal to drink to, do yourself a favour and buy this!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic, 23 April 2004
I am no proffesional when it comes to computer games, but this is a classic. The playability and anger factor is great alongside the visious blood-thirsty Fatalities. This introduces the comical Babality and Animality death moves too, which can make beating your opponent that extra bit more humiliating for them. The soundtrack is excellent and fits the style
and mood of the 90's computer game perfectly. Much fun in
single player too as you can battle through levels of difficulty
to kill Shau Kahn. Amusing quotes and apperances by
the production team bring a smile across your face as you uppercut your opponents onto a bed of spikes.
You can also choose from a wide range of charcters from
gods to robots, along with being able to change from
classic Rayden to a newer Rayden costume along with JAX
and others too. Brutal, fun and simply brilliant!

In my opinion music genres change, we can
fight it or accept it. This band has been
going many years now and if they were playing
the simular riffs from the first two albums people
would complain just as much as if they were to
change style. You just cant win everyones liking!
To old School black metal fans this one may be
questionnable, the band have a large budget and yes
of course they have put it to use! I think although
not as strong as previous outings, this band still have
what it takes to inspire and play up to date black metal.
Enjoy it, i did.
