4.0 out of 5 stars The Crooner on the romantic side, 5 Oct. 2005
You And The Night And The Music and Der Bingle, that's a sure and
positive mixture. Our baritone made his best to bring his fans in
mood-beginning 1934 from the depression days to 1946's new world-
when the lights go on again all over the world. And that mixture of
these CD collection is a very tasty one-bring you a lot of the rarer
Crosby songs. But you will enjoy this underrated gems at least as
all of Bing's smah hits-his voice is on the peak.So hearty can be
crooning:I Love You Truly-For Love Alone-Sweethearts-This Is My
Night Do Dream-Too Marvellous For Words-Lovely Lady. This and
more is some of the greatest and the best of the less known.Lay you
arm around your darling, close your eyes and have sweet, comfort
dreams!--Stop-the rustles of these titles are often too loud, although
they say, that cedar noise reduction and 3-Dimensiol sound was
used.Certainly the voice sounds warm and full, but same the atmosphere
behind them.I have heard some of these songs clearer.-that is the
tear that's fall on a big Bing Crosby selection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bing's last White Christmas, 4 Oct. 2005
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bing Crosby's Merrie Olde Christmas of 1977 was Bing's last
TV Christmas special that he prerecorded on September of
the same year in England and the last time Bing sang to the
world White Christmas-exclude the last British concerts.Bing
died on October,14 of 1977 on a golf course near Madrid,Spain. This was
again a real family
Christmas with wife and kids and lot of old and new carols.
And some fine guests are on the road to Christmas and
Mr Scrooge:Ron Moody and Stanley Baxter.Oh,how beautiful
is to hear Bing and Twiggy on a duet of Have Yourself A
Merry Little Christmas-so relaxed it is only possible to Mr
Crosby. And this is the TV special too, where Bing sings with
David Bowie the famous Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy,
that get an enormous Christmas hit in 1982.Bowie has a
solo too on Heroes-that's for the rock generation!Bing wishes
to come with us together next Christmas again before he
end his last show with Irving Berlin's famous Holiday Inn
hit, that sold 100million or more times on record. To own
this video we have the possibility to come every Christmas
again with Der Bingle together-and perhaps one Christmas eve a
digitalized DVD of that show lies under our Christmas tree.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bing and Al-two of a kind, 3 Oct. 2005
Bing Crosby meets Al Jolson! And in deed this is a phantastic meeting
for your ears. All Crosby/Jolson radio duets are sampled on 2CD's
in a very special and fine 150minutes program of it's own-plus some
fascinating solos of these two marvelous guys-both legends on
music history.Ken Barnes-the producer!This is a total guarantee,that
you never heard these songs better and clearer. That's nearly if the
two pals stands beside you!And and all the nostalgic songs that
get tremendous live sung by this perfect team:My Blue Heaven,You
Made Me Love You,Beautiful Dreamer,Bye Bye Baby.....and some of
the original chat and jokes.A must not only for Crosby and Jolson
fans, but for all that loves quality singing and great songs! That's
entertainment at his best-wow!

2.0 out of 5 stars Great show with Bing,Rosie,Frank &Louis-but poor DVD, 28 Jun. 2005
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
On this DVD of the Edsel Show are only a cutten version of this
extraordinary show-about 32 of more than 50 minutes.The sound
is well, but the picture is very poor and blurred. On Now You Has
Jazz with Bing and Louis are partly froozen pictures.I am owning
a video tape-complete show of these early Crosby TV special with
a much better and sharper picture without losses and also the fine
Crosby/Clooney/Sinatra medley before On The Sunny Side.My hope
to get an even better digitalized copy of this got dissapointed badly.
It's sad to distribute this highpoint of entertainment in that way.
