Destiny: Mere Mortals: Destiny (Star Trek)
Destiny: Mere Mortals: Destiny (Star Trek)
by David Mack
Edition: Mass Market Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for Star Trek fans, 12 Nov. 2010
If you're a fan of Star Trek and like reading the novels that have carried on from Nemesis, Titan series etc, then you'll like the Destiny Trilogy, of which this is Book 2. Taken as a whole, none of the books stand alone, the series is a really imaginative resolution to a problem that Picard, Janeway and others have had. It brings together TNG, DS9 and Voyager characters and brings to an end a story line that really could have run and run and would have been unsustainble and ridiculous. Well done David Mack

3.0 out of 5 stars Very short but interesting none the less, 21 Jan. 2000
Satyricon is a very short piece, 62 pages in total. Some of the translation is a bit odd and the translators have obviously used some poetic license to give it a contemporary feel. It is none the less quite an interesting piece on the excesses of a wealthy character called Trimalchio, who lived during the reign of Nero in Imperial Rome. It would certainly give you a good contrast to someone like Pliny the Younger.
